Fluttershy....tablet PC.

Birthday: January 10th 2012

Status: I can now play Angry Birds on the go!
Going to waste some time in Hospital Tycoon now.
Thursday morning... tired...
Busy, busy morning.

Now I can slack off, hopefully.

Here is Fluttershy, the new replacement for old Lexi. She is the tablet PC I wanted...a Polaroid PMID700. Menards had one left after all, but it was open box. I checked it before deciding to purchase, and it must have been just a display unit for the Black Friday sale since the screen protector was still attached, and the only accessory that was open was the AC adapter. The earphones, USB cable, and USB drive adapter remained unopened. There was also no personal data on the device like photos or music, but I performed a factory reset anyway just in case, and to start from scratch and set up things my way.

The desktop picture wasn't made with Gimp this time, but rather, a more native Mac application called Pixelmator. I got the Fluttershy graphic off of EqD, and the white would have been transparent, but it wasn't in the original source file.

She has a 1ghz Processor (box lists either a RockChip RK2918 or a Cortex A8, perhaps RockChip makes a Cortex A8?) with 512mb RAM and 2gb internal flash memory. As for expansion options, she has a MicroSD slot (which has a Fuji 4gb C4 SDHC card) as well as a USB drive adapter for plugging in external USB flash drives via the mini-USB port.

Performance wise? She can run and fly circles around Lexi. Fluttershy can play Angry Birds and many games that use OpenGL 2.0. Lexi can't. (well, technically she can, but the games are so slow they are unplayable) Browsing the web is also much smoother and faster. Oh, and Fluttershy is an excellent video player as well. I loaded up a USB drive with loads of XviD cartoons I converted from MP4, and they played just fine. I have to find a 720p HD video now since her box claims HD 720p video playback.

The touchscreen is also far more accurate and responsive too.
I spoke too soon. Another job just surfaced.

NOW hopefully I can slack off.

Wonder if it can run GTA III, too. As far as specs go it seems to be like it. My dad has this 7-inch Samsung Galaxy Tab, 3G model, with a 1.2Ghz dual-core CPU, 1GB RAM and a Mali-400 GPU. Runs the game quite well, even if R* doesn't officially support the device (they do support the similarly-powered Galaxy S2, though).
The five oldest members of my household had a contest to see who could go the longest without swearing. I lost first. If my sister were here, she would have lost first, though for her it would be more a case of wondering if she could go for two sentences without swearing.

I could still be in the contest if I'd cheated, because nobody even heard me!

James: "What did you say?"
Me: "Whah f****** ow!"
James: "Oh, I should have guessed."

I didn't realize I often said that...

(Don't worry. I didn't fall. I lost my balance and hit my right foot into a wall, but I didn't fall.)
I love you guys and I wish you no ill tidings.

You must think I've gone crazy.

I am serious, though. I've always loved you guys and never wished anything bad on you. I hope you know that. The words I spoke in anger were ultimately much more directed to large problems with worldwide society, not with individual people themselves.
Tired.
