The point is, a friend of my enemy is my enemy. The Malaysian government likes him. Furthermore, my hate is justified- I have heard some of his songs, and they're repulsive.
On Tuesday, I was in Sioux Falls (SD's biggest city) with my parents. I managed to get some shopping done. Not much, but enough to satisfy me.

Highlights were the NES version of "Strider" and heading down to the ethnic grocery store to grab some bottled Mango nectar. You can't get Mango nectar anywhere in my hometown.... unless you shop online of course.

I got a whole 24-bottle pallet of "Rayaan" 250ml Mango Nectar. These are small bottles good for a quick drink with lunch and snacks. They had larger bottles and boxed Mango nectar too.

You usually can't find stuff like this in WalMart. Only in the various ethnic grocery stores.

Oh, and I ended up contacting Cyberlink support as MediaEspresso 6.5, my normal video conversion application, suddenly began to crash on me after I start converting one of my Adobe Premiere videos from DV-AVI to MP4. The video still converts in the background, but the UI crashes after you start conversion or bring up the about box. I tried applying the various update patches and uninstall/reinstalled to no avail.

I suspect a Windows Update may have done something to the program, but I am not sure as no information on why MediaEspresso crashed is never displayed.

MediaEspresso is such a great program though. It supports hardware acceleration, making video conversion fast.

However, I found out my Adobe Suite comes with Adobe Media Encoder. I am currently trying out encoding files to FLV format... Flash 8 with On VP6 encoding, 856x480 widescreen and 700kbps bitrate. We will see how well this comes out.

Downside is that encoding is slower than MediaEspresso, but if I can't get MediaEspresso fixed, then AME is the only way to go.

Ah, forgot about that. I'd like to but probably only limited to the 2003-2007 TV show.

That's OK, as long as it would add to the wiki in a good way. Big Grin
How lenient is the wikia compared to the real wiki? I'm quite sick of the wiki rules, which are justified but still make me feel too leashed.

Well, put this way, we technically own that Wiki as well.

Hmmm, holiday. Might as well.

Great, now I have to tend to that fat red f****t on The Sims Freeplay for another 3 days. Nevermind that due to timezone differences with the US, the event always starts at midnight, and tend to last two to six freaking hours and end up with me getting not enough to no sleep. I figure fat red will disappear at daylight, since that's what the legends I've heard says...

So you guys created the articles at Wikipedia too? If not....

Remember to credit Wikipedia as the source of the articles on the SSC Wikia. Even if you created articles at Wikipedia, someone may have come along and added stuff too.

As for me, I can't contribute anything since it's been years since I have watched SSC. Sad Maybe I can go in, register, and properly attribute the copied documents according to the Wikipedia TOS. GNU and Creative Commons stuff sometimes has attribution requirements, even though the source may be redistributed freely.

Oh, and turns out I don't really need MediaEspresso anymore. I finally found a good Media Encoder preset that works swell with uploading to YouTube. (FLV for Flash Player 8, On VP6 Encoding - 856x480 Widescreen - 700kbps - 128kbps MP3 audio) The downside is that encoding is slower than MediaEspresso since Adobe Premiere Pro 2.0 doesn't support NVIDIA CUDA or any fancy hardware accelerated encoding.
I created those articles at Wikipedia which I now copy back. Much of it has already been vandalized off or removed by a citation challenge.

and because the information was released under Creative Commons, I have the right to copy it back!

Playing hard disk musical chairs again. This time the disks in question are a 320GB WD Blue, a 250GB WD Blue, and a Toshiba 120GB.

I finally picked up a USB SATA case to be able to perform the operation.

The 320GB now goes into Violette. All the data from the 250GB is cloned across into the 320GB drive using my favorite cloning tool: Clonezilla.

Clonezilla handled the GPT partition table flawlessly and all data has been transferred over. After that, it was just a matter of telling Windows to extend the C:\ drive across into the new space. No problems.

Next, I decided to explore a little and swap out Jess' hard drive, a 120GB which I've since identified as a Toshiba.

And well, this process turned out to be painstakingly long. I first had to initiate a backup on Jess, and I first decided to use an a 320GB Buffalo USB disk. Bad choice- the backup failed halfway for no given reason. Next, I tried my older 120GB self-built USB hard disk. It's not being recognized. Then I figured out that there's two problem to the drive: firstly, it's NTFS formatted (because I was anticipating the need to keep ultra-large files), which for some reason, is not accepted by PS3s. Secondly, it needs an external USB 5V power brick plugged into it's auxiliary power USB connector because the PS3's USB ports aren't pumping out enough juice. So I plugged it into Dongwa, reformatted it to FAT32, and dugged out ChaCha's charger and shoehorned it into the charger as well. Success!

Then the backup itself took two hours >.<

The hard disk change was relatively quick and painless. Sony made it as easy as possible to upgrade or replace it on your own with any SATA laptop drives in the market. Good marketing decision, Sony!

Upon powering up, I'm asked to insert a USB drive with a copy of the firmware on it. Now, Sony offers the firmware for download on it's website, so all I had to do was download and put it on a USB stick, and plug it in to one USB port, while plugging the PS3 controller into the other. Another good marketing decision!

Now, restoring the backup. This will take another two hours >.<

As for what I'll do with the 120GB Toshiba, well, I have no idea. Can't do much with 120GB nowadays. I might just pop it into the CCTV box or something.
Remember when I tried to cook a frozen pizza that got stuck to the cardboard bottom?

Well, it has happened again, this time with one of those microwaveable stuffed sandwiches, or "Hot Pockets" as they are commonly called. These sandwiches are packed with a small "QwikCrisp" microwave crisping sleeve, and some of the sauce escaped the sandwich before it was frozen. As a result, it got stuck to the sleeve and cardboard was again stuck to the foodstuff that I was going to cook.

>.<

Some good news though... I spent about an hour or so with Animal Crossing: City Folk today. I'm catching fish and finding fossils, and slowly making my money to pay off my house.

But, I now have to go play it for a little bit longer... I had to find the Animal Crossing Wiki to help me find a key.

I found said key now, and caught a HUGE stringfish. I sold the fish and some other items to Tom Nook, and I got enough money to pay off my mortgage!
