If you play overnight, I suggest setting a clock offset in AC:CF. That's what the adjust time option in the game is actually for. Nintendo actually anticipated that not everyone will be able to play during working hours, and so put in the option so you can come back from work in the evening and it will be morning in the game. Just offset the clock in the game by 12 or so hours and you will be fine.
Well, I'll skip offsetting the time. It's akin to time travel, and I would like the game clock to be in sync with real life clock if at all possible. I also won't be limited to late night visits for much longer, I hope.
Oh, and you know that Android HDMI stick Anna-Lena has? Well...
I thought I would have it output at 720p resolution (or 1280x720 60hz) to see if that would improve video performance. After switching, Anna-Lena's default zoom caused overscan, and I didn't want to use the adjustment sliders offered, so I wanted to go back to 1080p HD.
The 1080p option disappeared. Well, not really. There is a 1080p option, but for some reason, only 1080p 50hz refresh rate is displayed, and Anna-Lena only accepts 60hz. I first tried a factory reset, but that didn't work. I then decided to use the settings menu.
As I was flipping back and forth between resolutions trying to see if the 1080p option would return, I put it on 720p 50hz for some reason. Now I can't get the HDMI stick to display anything at all because without seeing the screen, I can't re-adjust the resolution back to 60hz, and neither Anna-Lena nor my parents LG recognize a 720p 50hz HDMI input,
I do know the device at least boots, as I get the startup Android logo before the input goes dead.
My last resort option is digging out my old iSymphony 20'' HDTV, which accepts PAL or NTSC input over analog. Hopefully being a off-brand Chinese set, the HDMI should accept 50hz input so I could at least get the stick back to a 60hz output.
If that doesn't work.... I'm going to have to buy another HDMI stick. Menards has them on sale for cheap now since they had so many left over, and I will have access to Menards again soon. And when I do get another one, I will never set it to 720p 50hz.
The strange part? If I tried to use 1080p 50hz, it would black out for about half a minute and then it would return you to the settings menu. It didn't do that with 720p 50hz. I sure hope I didn't kill the device while messing with the resolution.
