Wild, crazy crowds clamoring and wrestling for the same items have always been too stressful for me to want to risk, and that is especially true this year. I will probably spend most of Black Friday napping.

Reason? Well, there are a couple. The first one being I. Simply. Can't. Let. Lexi. Languish. In. A. Drawer. Unused. Sure, Lexi isn't the fastest Android tablet in existance (and her kind, the Pandigital Novel wasn't even a tablet to begin with, but a strict eReader. That changed with a firmware upgrade from Pandigital in Jan 2011). She was also a gift from my parents for Christmas, and because of that, I would like to keep using her as long as I possibly can.

Another reason is that the new tablet PC was a want...not a need. I asked myself this evening, do I really need a new tablet? I thought about a lot of things, and what I use my tablet for. I use my tablet mainly as a portable screencap viewer loaded with favorite screen captures from shows like The Little Polar Bear and MLP:FIM. I also use it for basic web browsing whenever Wendell isn't around or if both of my computers are busy. When browsing the web with Lexi, I don't really need to go to YouTube or many other sites that use Flash, and the lack of Flash prevents those annoying banner ads from displaying. If I need to get full web access, I usually use Wendell as he always goes along with me on long trips that require hotel stays. For shorter trips, Lexi is great!

The third reason is that I mainly wanted a new tablet because I wanted to play Angry Birds on a tablet PC. I don't actually NEED to play Angry Birds on a tablet. I already have Angry Birds on Lilly and Wendell, and that is good enough, despite using mouse controls.

Yeah, I know that Lexi uses a rather old version of Android (I think it's 2.0, but it could be 2.1, not sure) and can only play games that don't require 3D acceleration, but Im happy to use her. I am going to try and find a faster picture viewer though since Amazon AppStore can work on it.

As for Black Friday, oh yeah, we are going to Mitchell! I shall spend what's left of my money on other things, like a much needed stack of DVD-R discs and a sound bar speaker system.

It's not celebrated in my country, but because I work in US Embassy I got a day off.
But I got sick on this very day.

Lucky. I not only have no holiday, but I have to stay late

It's not so lucky for me. It's just the same as if I called in sick instead of having a holiday.

Well, I got home, unboxed the remaining ponies I want to unbox (all that's left are the blind bag figures and the Fashion Style Celestia/Luna combo kit which I plan to unbox on the same day I get a FS RD. Looks like that won't be happening soon tho.

Now I'm extremely tired. Going to bed shortly after this.
