Greta, fully restored to Windows 7. System restore discs are so wonderful. Smile

I have since forgotten how much easier the Win7 Start Menu is. I'm sort of glad that it is returning somewhat in Windows 10 even though it will be a combined Start/Live Tile thing.

Lilly, running Yosemite. I love the look of the new UI myself.

Here is Lilly running Windows 8.1. Boot Camp control panel is running.

Yeah, I seriously need to update her desktop wallpaper with something new. Maybe a different one for each OS?

Here is Pablo with KDE 3.5... running on OpenSuse 13.2.

Here's Ruthie, my Pentium G3258 (aka Pentium K or the Anniversary Edition chip) desktop running Windows 7 SP1:

I named her after Ruth Ann "Ruthie" Smithens, who was Kit Kittredge's best friend in the Kit books. For now she's running on an Intel HD GPU which came embedded in the 3258's die, but I plan on shoving in a stronger Nvidia and perhaps a decent power supply to go along with it.

Well, Lilly's desktop hasn't changed much, but rather this is to show that I turned off taskbar grouping under Win8.1.

I used to prefer it the other way with the single icon and window previews due to eye candy, but thanks to Kubuntu, I'm now getting used to the older style again. May as well make Win8.1 similar to Kubuntu. The Start screen's awkwardness is starting to show with shortcuts though and I don't plan on installing Classic Shell.

As for Lilly's wallpaper, I need to make her a new one, or at least find a high quality screencap that still looks decent zoomed in.

Higher res screen, but otherwise largely unchanged.

Greta returns to Windows 7. Where it is always winter. Wink

No, don't ask. I don't understand why either. The only consensus I can reach is that I am shocked and have gone crazy during one of my depression fits.
