The song parody thread!
#11
A rather satirical commentary on parents complacently handing over a smart device to their kids, thinking it would be fine and dandy to do so.
Set to the tune of "Part Of Your World" by Jodi Benson.

Look at this game
Isn't it leet?
Playing all day, yet I've never been beat
Sure is absurd for a girl
Supposed to play dolls and things?

Cussing your foe
It's a big no
There goes the values my auntie said so;
Parents' discretion just stinks
"Meh, give her everything!"

My tab's filled with them apps here a plenty
And some M-rated games from Play Store
You want zombie games now?
Open SHAREit
Folks don't care
No big deal
I'm so spoiled

I'd play all day, tablet's close to me
Playmate and I on a Roblox party
Beating the crap out of—great, it's my aunt again—how... neat.

Hopscotch and sports aren't fun by far
Watching Let's Plays are much more engaging
Oh my gosh, it's a—great, it's my aunt again—how... neat.

Look at me talk
How'd I have fun
This sedentary thing I'd just run
Games mostly free
Much to my glee
I am so spoiled

No crap to give
Mom would just live
With her dear daughter
The price she'd pay
If came one day
Juvie I'd land?
Others would rant
My mother can't
Ground me and, reprimand me harshly
"You young lady,
with a potty,
insolent mouth!"

And I always just watch what most others watch
Picking up bad slang
Rude phrases, answers
Hurtful punchlines and what-you-say—what's that word?—swear!

Look at us youth
Level we stooped
Wrong influences cloud us with poop!
Spoiled brat's a bane
This is insane
When would I learn?

What happens when you combine the excitement of rallying and the annoying feeling of being subjected to a musical about a ginger orphan.

"I Think I'll Drift My Car Right Here", sung to the tune of "I Think I'm Gonna Like it Here" by the Annie cast.

[CO-DRIVER]
I'll write a list of where we'll drive
[spoken] 100 Easy left maybe, no, hard I think

[CO-DRIVER]
Instructions on how you will steer
[spoken] Hard... no, medium, I think

[CO-DRIVER]
You better put it in your head
[spoken] A jump, no, a medium crest, me thinks

[DRIVER]
I think I'll drift my car right here

[CO-DRIVER]
Make sure you'd tell what's right from left

[DRIVER]
[spoken] Am I that blind? Oh boy...

[CO-DRIVER]
Spare tire and parts stashed in the rear

[DRIVER]
[spoken] Wouldn't that bog us down in the rally?

[CO-DRIVER]
We gotta get to start at noon
[spoken] Oh, and make sure we don't incur any penalties, please

[DRIVER]
I think I'll drift my car right here

[CO-DRIVER]
Hit the brakes, no mistakes
Lest we'd go astray
Go flat-out, not a doubt
Hit the gas, we will pass

[CO-DRIVER]
Your car's but an expensive toy

[DRIVER]
[spoken] That's okay, I won't be wrecking it anyway

[CO-DRIVER]
You driver, goes like you're on beers

[CO-DRIVER]
We have but one request
Please win this gravel test

[DRIVER]
I think I'll drift my car right here!

Used to drive in the streets
Cops tell me to freeze
In the lead, while you read
These pacenotes, bring us hope

[CO-DRIVER]
*pinches driver*

[DRIVER]
[spoken] Ouch!

[CO-DRIVER]
[spoken] I didn't mean to!
[Singing] I hope you wouldn't end up fail

[ALL]
We hope we'll never ever fail

[DRIVER]
I'm gonna show my talent here

[CO-DRIVER]
We hope you understand
These notes are my command

[DRIVER]
I think I'll drift my car right here!

Oliver Warbucks is an entrepreneur, not a chef. And now he's facing mockery from his staff, wife and daughter over that half-hearted attempt at putting culinary matters into his own hands.

"We've Cooked a Horrid Tasting Stew", sung to the tune of "I Don't Need Anything But You" by the Annie cast.

[Warbucks]
I so want to cook

[Annie]
A soup like clam chowder

[Warbucks]
More often than not

[Annie]
Gourmet he was never

[Warbucks]
I googled recipes
Yet my dish tastes like flu --

[Warbucks and Annie]
We've cooked a horrid-tasting stew!

[Warbucks]
Ingredients abound
I could smell it simmer
But still it went wrong
I felt like a sinner

[Annie]
And then that pressure cooker's
Blabbing "Bu-Bu-Boo?"

[Warbucks]
Bu-Bu-Bu
Horrid-tasting stew!

[Annie]
Daddy's dish was plain awful

[Warbucks]
You can say that again

[Annie]
Daddy's dish was plain awful

[Warbucks]
Oh well

[Annie]
Reject!

[Warbucks and Annie]
That's then

[Annie]
I smell a dead mouse

[Warbucks]
Now that's a big minus

[Warbucks and Annie]
You know Mrs. Pugh
Would all but chastise us

[Warbucks]
I'm but a business man
But not a chef, boo hoo

[Warbucks and Annie]
We've cooked a horrid-tasting stew!

[Warbucks]
This tastes worse than my mother's

[Annie]
That would give her a shock

[Warbucks]
Put salt, oh wait, it's sugar
Or else...

[Annie]
It'd go...

[Warbucks and Annie]
Oh, yuck!

[Annie]
You cooked like a jerk
And no one devoured

[Warbucks]
That soup's rotten stench
I think it's too sour

[Warbucks]
Now all I ever need
Is culinary school
I felt like I am such a fool!

[Servants]
We couldn't help but
Laugh at our employer
A wannabe chef
But it's a disaster
We see that Mrs. Grace
Has joined at mocking you

[Warbucks]
This soup has horrid taste

[Annie]
Horrid taste

[All]
Horrid taste
We've cooked a horrid-tasting stew!
