I probably won't eat through my stash of Christmas goodies until February. Good thing the candies and treats I bought have a long shelf life.
My favorite Christmas treats are those from Little Debbie, especially the Cherry Cordial Cookie Cakes. Yum yum!
Those are super tasty! I've been saving a delicious apple pie for tomorrow. So I'll be set enough! <3

Well, Phase 1 was a success. Phase 2 starts in a few.

I'm tired. I didn't get much sleep. But I wanted to fix my sleep schedule. Cooking a delicious breakfast for Alexia and making that pie. For.. both of us. >_> <_< Right.

I got up around 11:30am this morning since my town's small FM radio station starts playing Christmas music for 30 straight hours. It's a holiday tradition for me, but they haven't changed up the program style for nearly 15 years. It's fine, but there are better Christmas programs out there...
...which is why I am setting up a small FM micro-cast station using one of my Android tablets, Poppy, as well as one of those FM transmitter boxes that you insert into the headphone jack on your iPod or MP3 player. I have two, a rather decent quality box and a cheap $6 box. The $6 one doesn't work too well obviously, and Poppy won't even send audio out to it. Thus, I had to dig out my other one, and I hope that one works. If not, I will have to try with Daffodil, my older Android tablet or perhaps even Hazel.
Today will be interesting, that's for sure.
Sounds pretty fun. I love holiday traditions and Christmas music is great! I just use Youtube for my Christmas music/Yule Log needs, I admit. Hehe.
My sleep schedule SHOULD be fixed thanks to some early morning Doctor Who watching with Alexia. Hopefully.

cpd2009 Wrote:Do any of your local FM stations play Christmas music? At least one or two in a decently large city should, but for some people it's best in small doses as such stations have limited variety of songs unlike YouTube. I personally don't mind it myself since I'm bit of an old-timer when it comes to music listening. I still prefer FM radio since some of the stations in my state are rather good on the music variety, though I have thought about subscribing to satellite radio from time to time. I also have a rather large MP3 collection too since my local stations don't really play the music I like.
As it stands, I found a station in Minnesota streaming online and they are playing an old Christmas music program my local station ran during the 1990s. Memories indeed, as well as great music.
Radio is great for when I know when I want to listen to a "type" of music and don't know which kind. For sure. When I want something specific though, yeah.
I don't have a particular easy method of listening to the radio waves around here, although I suppose internet radio is a thing. Hehe.
