RAMChYLD Wrote:Edit: The speculations are back that the final 3 episodes of FIM season 2 may have villains. I guess it's no longer my surrogate replacement goldfish for Arthur, Spot, Humf, Caillou and other slice-of-life shows that I've loved and lost. According to MLPArena. And this time it's straight from the mouths of Hasbro themselves.

Guess nothing does last forever...

I still don't get why you hate shows with villains? I know the reason why, since you told me in the chat, but to me, that still isn't a good enough reason to hate these kinds of shows. Why can't you just enjoy the show despite the fact villains will start showing up now and then? Villains will get their comeuppance thanks to the Mane Six. Smile

And it's not like episodes with villains eliminate the episodes without villains. I mean, there is absolutely no perfect show where everyone loves and wants to rewatch every single solitary episode. And anyone who says otherwise is a lying liar. There are plenty of shows that I love that have episodes I hate and avoid if possible. It doesn't mean I like the show any less, it just means that I don't watch the episodes I don't like and focus on the episodes I do. And you should do the same.

Yesterday:

Ben: "Merry Christmas Eve Eve!"
Me: "Hey! You used to hate it when I'd say that!"
Ben: "Well, you've downplayed it. Starting December 1st, you used to say, 'Merry Christmas Eve Eve Eve Eve Eve Eve Eve Eve Eve Eve Eve Eve - ' "
Me: (interrupting) "Seriously???!! I was a dork!"

(I did that a long time ago, so I only vaguely remember it. That does sound like something I'd do, though.)

<RAMChYLD> ok, I'm now convinced Hasbro really hates me
<RAMChYLD> Bought a LeapPad Explorer. Installed the drivers. Went into the App Center.
<RAMChYLD> Video isn't there >.>
<RAMChYLD> Changed country to United States.
<RAMChYLD> Video appears! Yay!
<RAMChYLD> Try to check out, selected "Redeem Coupon" and enter coupon code for the free coupon that comes with the LeapPad
<RAMChYLD> Not valid in the US >.<

Credit card:
<RAMChYLD> it wants a US billing address >.<

<RAMChYLD> but this is just plain stupid. What's wrong with letting one use an international credit card?
<RAMChYLD> i.e. non-US credit card?
<RAMChYLD> or putting the episodes for download on other countries' stores?

<RAMChYLD> There's 6 stores: US, Canada, UK, Ireland, The Pacific (Aus & NZ) and International
<RAMChYLD> i.e. no local store
<RAMChYLD> of the 6 stores, only the US and Canada stores have the videos
<RAMChYLD> the remaining 3 countries, which also gets FIM on Boomerang, are denied off the episodes

EDIT: Dual-monitors on Wendell FTW!

Im starting to see how dual-monitors can be useful. You can throw a program that encodes DVD rips onto the second monitor while it works, and use the main monitor for something else!

Wendell's secondary monitor is only temporary though. Im testing out Max, my HDTV, as a secondary display, and so far, so good. Lilly will eventually get the second display, but since Max only has a VGA input, I have to order an MDP-to-VGA adapter from Apple in January.

I hope that one year, maybe not next year, maybe not the year after that, but perhaps five or ten years down the road that you will realize that spending Christmas all depressed and sad is not such a good idea. Yeah, it's sad to know that your family did not celebrate Christmas while all the others got presents because they celebrated, but that is not your fault. It's because of your family's religious beliefs that made you not get presents.

Forget about that Santa Claus website....and don't be jealous that other people get gifts on Christmas. You need to remember that though the recipient gets the gift free, the giver still has to pay for it, sometimes having to dig into their credit card funds to do so, like me. But Christmas isn't about the gifts...it's about celebrating what is good in life, such as family, a roof over your head, and forgetting all about the troubles in life like that stupid internet censorship down there. Just let go of it all for one day, and be happy.

As for me, I will share my gifts tomorrow morning here on the forum. Please try not to be jealous.

HA!

Turns out that cheap 2gb C-Store MicroSD card is indeed hacked! It's only 128mb. Sad Hacked to appear 2gb.

No wonder it didn't work with Elsie.

Friend: "What's your name?"
Jubilee: "Candy."

She told other people tonight that her name is Banana, Barbie, Pony, Horsey, Holly, Dolly, EEEEEEE, and Two. I think that last one was an answer to the wrong question, "How old are you?" But when asked that, she answered four!

I have no idea if she knows what these questions mean or not, but she said more words than ever before! (Delayed speech. Runs on my side of the family.)

Eulalia continues to babble a bit, but not really verbalize for communication purposes yet. She has said one sentence, and that was last year. "That's bad!" A hairdresser was teasing her and her same-age siblings by taking their things, which was irritating. Interestingly, Eulalia's sentence was almost identical to my first sentence: "That's not good!"

Jim says your basic toddler sentences every day. He plopped my notebook in the toilet earlier this year to see what would happen, and then he toddled up to me and said, "Notebook in potty."

This was followed by Benita running to check it out, then reporting back, "It iiiiiiiissss! It iiiiiiissss! He did put your notebook in the potty! But good news is there wasn't any pee or poop in there!"

Oh my kids. ❤
