What I've done after a bit of tomfoolery with Jaeder Naub and the Kit's Treehouse game:

I was surprised when my parents gave me a new 8gb MP3 player for Christmas, seeing how I just got Hazel back in September. The good thing is though that the new player is actually better than Hazel since it's not a completely touch screen interface. (Navigating folders on Hazel can be a pain since the touch screen isn't too great for scrolling).

To be exact, it's a Mach Speed "Eclipse", model 200SL, silver colored iPod-style player with 8gb built in storage. The interface rips off the iPod somewhat, but it's much more useable than Hazel's odd touch screen interface. I admit, Im still getting used to the buttons and how they work (for example, to go up and down, you press left and right). The player works well, and I have decided to eventually name it "Camilla", after the arctic hare you now see in my avatar. Said avatar came from a book called "Randall Reindeer's Naughty & Nice Report" (please don't think about you-know-what David), and I actually scanned the slipcover just to get Camilla as my avatar.

Here is the most interesting bit....the bundled software. There was no CD-ROM packaged with the player; all the software was pre-loaded on the player's flash memory. Besides your standard firmware upgrade/player utility suite, there is this neat software called "MediaMonkey". I just ripped my new "20 Christmas Favorites" CD with it, and it's much better than RealPlayer, which I was previously using for CD rips. There was more software though, namely, an Applian "Replay" video converter/player/editor suite. Curious, I installed it, but found out it's a trial!! I then promptly uninstalled it after that. Surely you can do something to relax when in pain, and I know you can take medications for that.

Just got off the phone with Dish Network, our satellite TV company.

Massive upgrade planned for this weekend. Two new receivers, a shiny HD DVR receiver for my parents, who got a brand new LG flat panel HDTV for Christmas, and a SD DVR for me. I currently have a rather old Dish DVR 501 from 2005, so an upgrade is very welcome.

However, I will now be in a mad dash to transfer all my recordings to DVD-R, and I have quite a lot of "Little Bear" to move!

The best thing...the equipment upgrade itself is free! We only have to pay $10 more for the HD programming package.

going out on vacation soon to try forget this madness. Hopefully I can still cope with the trip even with this food poisoning going on in my body. My stomach is filled with gas and my head feels like it's going to explode.

Good heavens, I have been outdone!

Today, I met an autistic mother of eleven biological and adopted children! She began motherhood sooner than I did and is three years older than I am. Well, I'm very happily surprised to have met her!

(Perhaps the gender ratio of our children would have been reversed, had I begun sooner. She has seven sons and four daughters, and she is a fan of boy's shows that began in the 1980s... due to identifying with unusual characters. Though I am outdone, I may be mirrored.)

Dear Fox/Sky,

Please do me a favor: shut the zark up and get the zark out. Because of your douchebaggery, I now probably have zero chance of seeing MLP:FIM on local TV due to the religious douchebags that is the JAIS.
