Idiots playing SC2...

So I wall out the exit and give them control. And in response they tell me to go into a hole and die and then proceed to use my SCVs that I've given them control to destroy my own base.

I'm sick of this. Everybody wants to bully me...

Everybody? Everybody? Not that I'm starting another argument, but do you have an inferiority complex, son?

Well, alright. Not everybody. Just those tards on Facebook, Amazon and TVTropes, and now on SC2 as well.

And the bullying in SC2 was uncalled for. I was doing it for the good of the other players. Why the hell did the bugger attack me?

Btw, yeah I do have an inferiority complex. Came with the depression and 11 years worth of bullying i got at school (I got beaten up almost every day by bullies). Like I said before, my childhood wasn't a really good one.

That's why I avoid playing online. Nobody ever knows when ***holes will appear, and when they do, they do at worst possible time.

Well, if SC2 cost only US$15, then yes, I would've avoided online like the plague because I'd have gotten my money's worth out of the campaign. Problem is, SC2 cost US$60, and there's only 26 campaigns. I cannot justify the price for just playing the campaign and then throwing it aside until the first expansion pack comes out. Also, the upcoming expansion pack will cost more $$$. Even the original Star Craft and Brood War together has more campaigns than SC2, and it only costs US$15 bundled together!

Worth looking into. But there's another thing about SC2- the stupid ranking system. If I don't play online, I'll be permanently stuck at the bottom. I wish they'd just get rid of it, it's pointless. It's as if the entire game is built primarily for online challenges and trolling players who don't do well and the campaign missions are just put in as an afterthought.

I realize that I am late to the discussion, but here I go...

I second this...I avoid online play as well. In fact, I only gave my Wii Friend Code to David, hoping that one day I would get Animal Crossing:City Folk....that day may soon come once Pamida marks the clearance price down far enough.

I have very few games that support online play to begin with, one of them being Mario Kart Wii. The closest I will get to playing online is posting a high score to a global high score list. Thats it. Mario Kart Wii came free with Elsie, so I really didn't pay anything for it. Even if I paid full price for MK Wii by itself, I would still avoid online play.

As for other online aspects of consoles that aren't really gaming, I am warming up to the idea of cloud distributed games and apps, but I still think having a hard copy of a game is much better, because if Nintendo cuts off VC downloads for older Wii users after the Wii-U is out, what will happen to all the games I downloaded and paid for? Will I be forced to get a Wii-U in order to keep playing said games? Will I lose my games altogether?

Hence why I am collecting the real things.....carts of my favorite games. All I have to play them on is my Retron3 Clone system, but it still plays the game alright. The only VC games I am getting are for systems I have no room for or no money to get, like TurboGrafx16, N64, and Sega Master System games. Other times I get VC games which will be hard for me to acquire in their cartridge formats, like Super Mario RPG. I also go for import games as well.
