The Spam Thread!
I bought "To The Moon" (no Molestia jokes please, kthx) after seeing that Chris bought it.

Damn touching story. Definitely worth the 40 Malaysian dollars I paid for.

Now I have to figure out how to explain the RM40 to my aunt since I used her card My own card is maxed out right now Sad ...

Well, now I decided to give some more attention to Lars. He has been sitting idle for quite awhile, and so, I was playing some old arcade games last night, and now, I started going through "Crash Bandicoot". It's very similar to DKC (well, I would even say it's a "FollowTheLeader" thing. While DKC had barrels and bananas and an animal protagonist, Crash Bandicoot has wooden crates, Wumpa Fruit, and an animal protagonist).

It's a very fun game, but also somewhat difficult. It's a good thing many levels have extra spare lives around.

Oh, and since I got Lars a PS2 component cable, no more blurry video. Smile

After I'm finished with Crash, I may play Spyro the Dragon. Tongue

Today is a very special day for me.

One year ago on this day, Lilly came into my life. After years of wanting and planning and changing said plans, Lilly materialized as a Mac Mini.

How well has she served me? Well, I would say fairly well with her default Mac OSX installation. I still prefer Windows over Mac OSX, but I have learned a great deal on how Mac OSX works, and how to use it in the best way possible. I might not agree with how Mac OSX is set up, but it's still a good stable OS. It seems the only real problems I have had with it are two things.... The first being the default image and PDF viewer "Preview". "Preview" seems to crash somewhat often, and David suggested it could have been a RAM issue, but I tested the RAM with Memtest86 as well as Apple Hardware Test, and both came clean! I don't encounter constant crashes with other applications like I do with Preview.

Another minor issue is OSX Mountain Lion. Yep, installation went great, although it took about one or two hours to download from the app store, and then it took an additional hour or so to install. The minor issue is speed at boot. OSX boot seems to take somewhat longer than it did with Lion, but after everything is started up and running, speed seems to be the same as Lion.

There was a time a few weeks ago that I questioned myself about Lilly, mainly because I was bothered by Apple's planned obsolescence policies. I'm over that now. And while I may use Greta more than Lilly, she still serves me well whenever Greta is busy with something else, or if I want to multitask to the max. Tongue

Lilly, here is to our first year together!

This week has been pretty good. But next week comes midterm. Wish me luck.

In other news, I finally got to play Borderlands 2. However, in order for my 3.5 years old laptop to be able to play it, all graphics options has to be toned down to the lowest.

What graphics card does your laptop have?

Greta has two GPUs....an Intel HD Graphics 3000 and a NVIDIA GeForce 610m with Optimus.

Lilly has Intel HD Graphics 3000.

Wendell has an integrated AMD Radeon HD 6310.

I bet I might be able to run Borderlands 2 on a GT240.
