That night I already noticed that the PC ran much slower than usual, but I have never expected to get a blue screen in the middle of browsing a folder. After that it shut itself down and when I turned it on again I only get black screen. I tried waiting for a while, and then some kind of progress bar appeared at the bottom along with some text. I forgot the exact text, but it read something like "Cannot start windows because the following file is either missing or corrupt: C:\WINDOWS\System32"I hope it gets fixed as I hear Toshiba's are good laptops, hence why I bought one myself. My Satellite is just a regular laptop though.
What caused your Satellite Tablet PC to break down?
Fortunately, I had no important files there. I've been saving every file from that PC in external HDD. So if matters get to the worst and it needs to reinstall, there will be no loss.
What is MSI?
"Cannot start Windows because the following file is missing or corrupt: C:\WINDOWS\System32"....
Seeing how the computer was running slower than it should have been before it died, Im thinking it could have been a virus or the hard drive dying.
Good to hear no important files were lost though. I had a close call with my dying hard drive I mentioned earlier, as I just got all my backed up videos off it before it started acting up.
MSI is called "Micro Star International" and they are a manufacturer of computer motherboards, netbooks, and laptops. I was talking with zoo_keeper on Messenger one time about my Toshiba Satellite, and we both figured that MSI is a OEM manufacturer for Toshiba, as my Satellite laptop is very similar to a certain model of MSI laptop that zoo_keeper was talking to me about.
I love foxes, especially the one in my avatar.
