Looks like the new live action/CGI Clifford movie is being released on April 8th, 2016. From what I recall in the initial movie announcement a few years ago, this won't be based on the 2000 PBS Cartoon.

Clifford already received a theatrical film, "Clifford's Really Big Movie", releasing in 2004. The release seemed to be limited, as it never showed up in my town. I had to wait until the DVD was released in 2005.

I know that David didn't care for it and neither did my long lost friend. I was the only one out of our little group to like it.

Perhaps I should rewatch the film. I haven't seen it in full for about 10 years now.

*sigh* I didn't sleep well last night.

After Sandy alerted me that the forums were down at 1AM, I immediately rushed to check if my payment to NameCheap last month has went through (it has). After that, I still couldn't sleep. Too many things rushed through my mind about the forums, what could have happened, and fears of the worst (DMCA takedown by AGC, or worse, faked DMCA takedown by bronies disguising themselves as either Hasbro or AGC. Given how bronies are attacking SSC on The Hub's Facebook page, I perceive this as a possibility). And to make things worse, Blake had just slunk off to bed few minutes prior and I can't remember for my life what Chris is called on Steam and Yahoo (or if I even have him on Yahoo). And I have a bunch of other personal issues plaguing me as well.

Also, I had not renewed the WhoisGuard for the forums when it expired last month. The forums was given free two years WhoisGuard when transferred the domain names over to NameCheap. The feature expired last month, but I thought I didn't need it. I changed my mind then and there and bought another year's subscription (it's only three dollars. Don't know why I was such a cheapskate).

Thankfully it's none of what I thought happened. But still, yeah. Wild night, and when I finally fell asleep I kept waking up every hour. I was also mildly hallucinating due to the tiredness.

Sorry if you have to go through that stress dude. Could've updated the wiki more often, as I just found out that the Mediawiki coders have recently plugged up an XSS vulnerability, which could account for the spam being sent.

Just sent you a Facebook message too, btw.

I don't want to start drama, but I highly doubt bronies would hack this site and take it down. They may express their dislike of SSC on FB because we all have our preferences, but It's highly doubtful most bronies know this site exists, hence why I believe it will likely not happen. The site can be found with a Google search obviously, but it would also turn up other SSC forums as well.

And, I will admit it... I am starting to become a brony again, but I won't push it on anyone, nor will I let the crazy bronies know this site exists. About half of the fandom is crazy and intolerant, but the rest of us aren't bad at all. Just ask SophieCabra. Wink

No worries, since everything was alright in the end.

Got it. I'll look and see if that address is in my YM.

Honestly? Anytime any of them tells Hub or Hasbro to drop SSC or any of the other shows for that matter and focus on the ponies, I feel very angry. Even worse if when people defend SSC and they start calling these people by vulgar names and shaming and insulting them.

What makes you think I think that this is the only SSC site under attack?

Because you had a fear that bronies might have taken this site down. You said so in your previous message, and it was worded in a way that this specific site could have been a target. FB? That isn't an SSC site in full. Yes, the crazy bronies can and have gotten upset over Hub Network's decisions, but that is how Facebook works. That is how the majority of the Internet works sadly. Express an opinion and you are bound to get attacked in some way. It doesn't matter what you like or what you don't like, it happens to everyone, including me. It's a sad fact of online culture we all have to deal with, even if it hurts.

While I did word it to imply that this specific site could be a target, I never did say that I believe that this specific site is their only target.

And what have they got to be upset about? It's not like The Hub announcing that they'll be cancelling FIM. In fact, they're just announcing the start of a new SSC season. And the bronies all come out and demanding Hasbro stop backing SSC. How is that justified?

And when i defended the post I got called horrible, horrible names. Is that justified?

Plus, I have an extra worry. I heard that Dan Vs' cancellation was due to brony demands. If the bronies can demand Hasbro/Hub kill a show, then it's enough to worry about the well-being of SSC about for me.

Again, it's the internet. Expect things like this. Every fandom has "fans" like these... from Sonic, to MLP, to Star Trek. They get upset over little things like not having enough ponies, or nitpicking every new element of a Sonic game, or complaining about the tiniest change to a Star Trek character or whatever. Obviously, such "fans" are wrong and can't accept any kind of change and think every other show on the network isn't worthy of anybody's eyes. And because it's the Internet, they can get away with being vulgar and hurtling threats, even if their real name appears alongside their comment on FB.

Even though I am starting to become brony once again, I don't consider such vulgar people true "fans". They are intolerant of others opinions or preferences, and if you try to defend something that they are bashing, you become the target. Again, that is how the Internet works. Intelligent and respectful discussion is a rare sight, and as long as intolerant "fans" exist, intelligent discussions will continue to be a rare sight.

As with Dan Vs, I was never into that show, but many bronies were, I believe. I never heard of anything about fan demand for ponies causing that show's cancellation. Hub Network did get a new program director, Nikki Reed, a former Disney Channel programmer. I would suspect it's her own programming desires that led to that decision.
