Preparing to move Audrey to Kubuntu 14.10....

Also demoted the old Roku HD box to SD. I plan on acquiring a Roku Streaming Stick or newer Roku box for Anna-Lena. YouTube is borderline unusable on the older box.

A bit various. Sometimes it just remains undetected, sometimes a prompt appear telling that the HDD needs to be reformatted, some other times it works but has a tendency to 'unplug' itself randomly. The brand is Ministation

That is odd. Do you also encounter these issues when using other USB devices in the 3.0 ports, like pen drives?

I have a confession to make.... when technology makes me a bit frustrated, I can get rough with it.... to the point of breakage.

I feel ashamed for admitting this, though I'm not sure if I entirely should be. I have never broken any of my computers outright because I got frustrated or angry with Windows or some other issue, but many devices ranging from mice to keyboards have been damaged or destroyed because of me. Sad

The most recent victim is the wireless keyboard and mouse for Audrey. The Ctrl key never really worked due to how the keyboard itself is setup, but it frustrated me to the point where I basically mashed the key with lots of force. I forgot there was an open container of sweet tea on the small TV dinner stand and now the number pad is nearly unusable. Even if the keyboard electronics are still functional, the keypad is toast without opening the keyboard up, disassembling all the affected keys and wash them down. I also can't simply pour water over the keys to loosen them, since that is stupid and it will destroy the electronics outright.

Sad I feel awful, and I'm worried eventually one of my own computers will be destroyed because of my anger control problems.

I feel you dude, I feel you. I tend to yell and pound the desk in frustration or something like that, e.g. in a video game I find hard to beat, or when I express intense disgust or contempt over an issue.

I do need some anger management as well, but I'm not sure on where to start, nor am I that up to opening this issue up to my folks either.

* Looks at broken wireless keyboard that was flung across the room a few days ago because Handsome Jack called him "Stupid"

* Whistles innocently while swearing never to play Borderlands 2 ever again in his mind.

Thankfully it was just a RM61 Rapoo kit that I was going to replace with a Steelseries keyboard and mouse set anyway. But yeah. Although I do have an explanation for getting violent- I'm sick of people calling me stupid and a loser. I really have had enough. It has become a berserk button of sorts.
