Great... my RetroDuo SNES slot somehow got one of the pins bent, and it broke off as I tried to fix it. Sad

Ah well, I still have my FC Twin. Too bad I can't play import games because they left in the plastic tabs... unless I get a Game Genie....

SOTU is over. Lots of stuff right wings don't agree on.

Now going through some old discs of mine, some dating back 10 years. Finding old files I forgot I had, along with ancient 320x240 screencaps and other random stuff

Will I find that failed "Save Birdwell Island" game I was trying to make? Who knows?

This is for Angel...

I decided to give KMPlayer a spin, and I tried to test the screencap feature for DVDs. The problem is every time I try to grab a single frame, the program freezes completely, and I have to close it with the Task Manager.

Do I have to set up KMPlayer a certain way before screencapping DVDs? I found a guide that states you have to disable a "KMP Video Transform Filter", but it seems that covers one particular screencap method... having KMPlayer automatically screencap as you play the disc.

I'm looking to just screencap single frames from DVD. Have you encountered this freezing issue, or does the procedure above also work with single frame capture?

Looks like MS is going to offer Windows 7 and 8/8.1 users an opportunity to upgrade to Windows 10 for Free during first year of availability.

Count me in. Audrey is definitely getting this, but Lilly... I have to wait and see if my Adobe CS2 programs will work first.

i'm unsure if I want to uptake the offer. On the plus side, the upgrade is free. On the minus side, I lose the ability to play the games that shipped with Windows, and everything else offered by Windows 10 is absolutely useless to me because they're unavailable in Malaysia.

I may sound stupid, but i'd rather go with another Mac. At least there's no XBox Games requirement, and that iTunes sell music and movie in Malaysia, while XBox Music and XBox videos are unavailable in Malaysia.

Not to mention you can install Yosemite on a PC if you're savvy enough anyway. Wink
