The Spam Thread!
I liked Dave's "Airing of grievance" notices so much that I also created one myself:

Oh man, I totally remember Storybook Weaver and Storybook Weaver Deluxe. My sisters and I created so many crazy stories with those programs.

I'm starting to notice a disturbing trend in the 2009 SSC comics:

Custard and Pupcake's personalities appears to have swapped.

Shouldn't it be Pupcake who's the one enjoying the dress and Custard the one peeved? Pupcake looks noticeably agitated being forced to wear the dress here.

A more blatant one:

If this was the 2003 series, it would be Pupcake jumping on the blender's switch instead...

Hey, I was just going to make an Obligatory "I'm Alive" Post, but that last panel with Plum is just more fuel for my ol' theory that she is related to Pie Man and Grapes.

I agree about Custard and Pupcake's personalities being swapped. Pie Man and Grapes had their personalities swapped a bit as well, in terms of who was the harder personality and who was the more timid one. Their personalities were more layered than Custard and Pupcake's, though, so the swap was more minor and definitely not thorough.

Mostly on another note, I still think Gladys of Oz and Professor Grapes represent opposite angles of Sour Grapes' personality. They would... not like each other at all. They represent opposite angles in more than good and evil. Gladys is chaotic and without boundaries, and Professor Grapes is strictness and order. The canon character is neither in full, with elements of both. While her alter-egos wouldn't like each other, she doesn't like herself. (She doesn't hate herself. She goes for what she wants at times and she can stand up for herself; she wouldn't do those things if she hated herself. One doesn't have to hate themselves to not like themselves.)

"Wow, thank you for those rambles about things that have been old news for years."

You're welcome.

P.S.
I don't think I ever mentioned this online, since I never published Somnus' character profile because something jammed up the words, but his Ozian alter-ego is this guy. Whether or not Gladys and Faramont could be together is something I don't have an answer to. In one version of Oz, Faramont has a wife and ten children, and as that fits into James' personality, I like the idea of transferring that to Berry Brick Oz as well. However, the wife would almost certainly have to be someone else (unless the family could magically happen in the future with Gladys somehow having reasons to want to reform), so all Gladys and Faramont would most likely get between each other would be a happenstance meeting resulting in looks of déjà vu. That is sad. Overthinking is fun.

So much for an Obligatory "I'm Alive" Post. Hopefully this was more interesting.

Ok, so something's wrong with Edison now- hard freezes while logging into desktop or launching programs. Oddly, safe mode's okay. Often accompanied by the hard disk light staying steadily on for a few mins then suddenly showing no disk activity, but strangely, a chkdsk shows nothing wrong with the disk.

Oddly, he was fine on Wednesday, when I did my patch Tuesday catch up (I had to accompany my grandma at the hospital on Tuesday from after work until late at night, she had worryingly high blood pressure).

Gonna see if defragmenting helps. If not, looks like this is going to be a long weekend. Bad enough that I'm still recovering from a headache that started this morning.

Hmmm, I wonder where in Malaysia can I get that Saridon stuff. Panadol and Uphamol seems to be doing jack s**t for me. And there's apparently no aspirin in Malaysia.

Edit: Okay, that worked. Took four hours, but it totally solved the problem for me, strangely enough. Well, no point trying to work out what happened. Going to finally go back to bed after this.

So I just watched this PMV:

And now I'm just so tempted to remake it so that it actually fits with the lyrics. Half an hour before I have to go to work. OTL

Where can I find a blank grievance letter to edit?

Anyway, I'm going to commit fan blasphemy or something now. I'm going to critique the voice acting of some of the actors from the 2003 - 2008/12 Strawberry Shortcake series. This is going in alphabetical order by character.

Blueberry Muffin: I would say she barely makes the list. Her voice actress steadily improved over time. However, near the beginning, she did sound oddly unenthusiastic at times. (If you're going to say "that's miiiine!", don't say it like you couldn't care less.) On the other hand, Legend of the Lost Treasure and maybe some other time(s) I am forgetting aside, I tend to think of Blueberry as older and thus more subdued than her peers, so a calmer voice usually fits.

Huckleberry Pie: This character changed voice actors three times. It is the third voice actor I am referring to here, and he would have been fine if he hadn't sounded bored and then like he was obviously reading a script in Toto's Tale. The kid showed he could act, so maybe he was having an off day. I don't know. I could attribute the bored part to the "Wizard" being annoyed with having guests.

Lime Light: The voice actress reads fan reviews, so if she is reading this, I implore her to please please please not be sad. I believe her voice acting has improved since Strawberry Shortcake, her debut. She had the disadvantage of being a ten-year-old amateur acting amongst teenagers with experience. Ironically, in contrast to Lime's episode's plot, she was the beginner and the other girls were not.

Peppermint Fizz: With my apologies to the voice actress should she ever come across this, this is the least excusable. She was good for a long time and dived off the enthusiasm board toward the end, especially when 2007+ Peppermint was not being an antagonist. Her old spark was back in the Growing Up Dreams episodes, which makes me think the actress had more fun with Antagonist Peppermint. Edit: My avatar reminded me that Peppermint's voice was good in Around the Berry Big World, too, and she was definitely more of a protagonist then, albeit a gloomy protagonist. Somehow, 2007+ Peppermint when she isn't being an anti-hero, irritated, or in shock is reading a script half the time and there really is no excuse for that because the actress did not make those mistakes when younger.

And I realized that yesterday's predicament actually lasted almost 6 hours and not 4 mentioned earlier- I went to bed at around 4 AM yesterday.
