This forum feels lifeless without him.

Yeah, I agree with you on that.

Another one for the "It Figures" file: So, the library I work at never got Growing Up Dreams, so when Berry Brick Road came out, I bought it anyway, figuring the library had given up on the 2003 DVDs. And guess what was part of the new DVDs added to the collection today? orz.

Let me find a new way to keep the forums alive....

THE WEBKINZ REPORT!!

I have been wanting to post a status update on my little Webkinz, Greta, but I have been forgetting to. That's not to say I have been forgetting about Greta though. I have been checking in on her on a varying, but regular basis. I still have to schedule a certain time for Webkinz though as I tend to forget and sometimes it's up to a week until I check on her.

Anyway...here is Greta's main room so far...

Pretty random at the moment, especially with that weird peach lamp. Eventually, I will get around to making things follow a central theme...perhaps more fitting arctic wallpaper of sorts.

The other rooms are rather sparse at the moment. The bathroom only contains a bathtub, and the kitchen is rather small. I just recently added a yard to Greta's house...

Not much, but Im going to move the toys out here, as well as adding a lawn chair or bench if the WStore has those. Those mats that look like parts of a street are from the "SPREE!" arcade board game, which I will get to in a minute.

Now, about the arcade games. You know already that Webkinz arcade games are necessary to get KinzCash, which you can use to buy additional furniture, food, and rooms for your pet. There are a couple games I like..

The first one is "Hoppy Little Rocketship". You use your mouse to guide your cardboard rocket ship by hopping on odd looking birds all the way to the moon and beyond. I got to the moon already, and won a trophy for it. Even if you get to the moon, you can keep going higher and higher until you make a mistake and lose a try. Speaking of that, you can't miss one single hop. If you do, it's game over.

The second game is "Goober's Lab", a science theme clone of Bejeweled. Not too bad, but there are visible animation errors on Goober himself. Not sure if it's bad Flash coding or something with Flash 11.

The third game is "Candy Bash". A Mexican-themed breakout clone, where you control Poncho as he bounces a bean up and down off pinĂ£tas to reclaim his candy.

The fourth game is "SPREE!". It's a virtual board game, and the purpose is to get to the Webkinz Mall and collect mall credits along the way. Sounds easy, right? Well, it is, but the game board is HUGE, and you only get two free rolls per day. You can collect bonus rolls either by doing certain things in Webkinz World, or, currently, click on floating dice that go by on the screen. You can also buy rolls, but it costs real money to do so. So, if you just go by free rolls alone, this game can take weeks to complete. As for those mats in Greta's yard, they are part of a prize pack you get if you collect all six shopping bags while on your way. I also got those two road signs by the door from said prize pack.

I haven't tried every single game yet, and there are two games that require a paid deluxe membership..."Stardrops" and "Whimzy Skies". I may get a paid deluxe membership eventually, because these two games really look neat.

As for Greta....she's happy and fine. Smile Well fed and happy. I have to take her to the Webkinz Academy soon though.

One more image before I go...

Greta....meet Diner Dash clone. This is a interesting Diner Dash clone, but boy, is it tough. I can't keep up with the onslaught of customers on level 5. Tongue
