So... Amazon was pushing out an update to Angry Birds Space...and so, I decided to get it.

Now it won't launch, just like Angry Birds Seasons which I updated earlier in the week.

I am in the process of contacting both Amazon and Rovio support to see what's up. Both of my tablets have the Vivante GC800 GPU, which has been proven to run Angry Birds without issues. Seeing as how the AB Seasons has the same launch crash on both of my tablets, it must be something with either the update or the AppStore itself.

As for my other two Angry Birds apps...I will not update them at all until I know that the current issue with the other two AB apps is fixed for good.

Well, now it's about e-commerce. I've gotten very comfortable with buying games off Steam. The catch? these games tend to be gigabyte-sized affairs (Fallout 3, which I just bought a few days ago, weighs in at 9.3GB and took almost 3 hours even over 20Mbps- said ISP that offers 30Mbps doesn't have CBeebies and BBC Entertainment on it's IPTV service. And as you can guess, those two channels are very important to me. And let's not even get started with the Grand Theft Auto IV titles, which took a few days since it was a set of two 16GB downloads!

And that ISP that offers 100Mbps doesn't cover my area because it's not one of those posh areas that rich people live in.

Honestly, Three hours isn't as bad as spending half a day in traffic jams and then spending more time installing the CD and applying all the patches tho. But I'll still like to get my game even faster, especially since people in Singapore, Japan and South Korea can practically start playing 5 minutes after buying the game since they actually have gigabit internet!

Thinking about Christmas already?

I'm getting around to testing Fluttershy's battery life when it comes to gaming, and it's about the same as Herman. For just an hour playing Angry Birds Rio, the battery went from full to 55%.

Makes me wonder if I should try and find a tablet that has far better battery life. There has to be a discount tablet (or mid-range at least) that has far better battery life for games without spending a fortune on a Toshiba tablet.

I could go with a Google Nexus 7...but it has no expandable memory. iPad? No way.

Damn nightmares just getting worse. Maybe I should put down Fallout 3 for a while...

EDIT: Okay, okay. It wasn't just Fallout 3. I need to lay off the Doctor Who as well. Since the Tenth Doctor and some weird monster from some horror flick I can't remember also appeared in it.

It's not a code and it's not Jingle Bells. It was just a sound I thought of.

Oh, I am so stressed over the presidential elections today. If President Obama loses because of young voters posting pictures of their ballots online (which cancels out votes in most states), or worse, if he also loses because of rigged polling machines, I will be quite upset.

I agree with you Grapes! Smile Obama has brought a lot of change to our country, change that Republicans just don't see. If Romney wins, not only will he rollback all those changes Obama brought us, but he will likely move religion and government closer together. And that does not sound good at all.

That is all I will say about politics today. We just have to wait and see how things turn out. One thing is for certain though....no matter what happens, tomorrow, NO MORE STUPID POLITICAL ADVERTISING!! Big Grin Big Grin Big Grin

My favorite after-thanksgiving shopping ad site just posted a Kmart ad...for Thanksgiving day.

Sure, I won't be there that day, but they have a tablet PC for only $40 that day...something called the "Xtreme Tab". Specs are similar to Herman it appears....7'' screen, Android 4.0 ICS, and what claims to be a 1.2ghz CPU. Here is where it's different...the XtremeTab has a capacitive touch screen. Both of my current tablets have a resistive screen...Herman even has a stylus!

<!-- m --><a class="postlink" href="http://www.xtremetab.com/xtremetab-7-capactive/">http://www.xtremetab.com/xtremetab-7-capactive/</a><!-- m -->

Unsure as to what the CPU is...could be a Rockchip RK2916 like Herman, or maybe an Allwinner. No specs.

Though I am looking at different tablets, I'm undecided on whether or not I will get one. I already have Herman and Fluttershy. Both are decent tablets but could use better battery life when playing games. One factor that could lead me to get a new tablet to replace those two is if my Angry Birds apps no longer run on a GC800 GPU, which both tablets have. The Allwinner based tablets have a Mali-400 GPU, which from what I read has better compatibility with games. (Where's My Water won't even run on Fluttershy, yet it does on Herman)

Now, I wait for the election results, and the Menards Black Friday Ad....

Try running Quick System Info PRO on that one, it should give you some specs on the tablet. And yeah, resistive screens won't cut it anymore if you ask me.

In other news, Wikia has just granted me admin and bureaucrat rights on the Strawberry Shortcake wiki. Anyone up for a promotion? Big Grin
