Completed Duke Nukem Forever last night. For a game that costs RM18 (got it from a Steam sale), it is pretty long, so I got the bang for my buck there. And that's not counting the DLC add on (which throws in a pseudo-sequel story) that I even haven't touched yet.

I always have my browser keep me logged in to the SSC forum since Im the only one who uses my computer systems. But, that isn't what Im talking about...

It's Disney Junior...the Channel. Launching next month.

http://www.disneyjuniorthechannel.com/

Finally saw a launch promo for it, and there are already three shows I will watch...

*Stanley
*Guess How Much I Love You
*Gaspard and Lisa

The inclusion of Stanley is good news for other Cartoon Pizza/Jumbo Pictures shows like "PB&J Otter". The chances have increased a bit, despite not being in the promo itself. Even if PB&J gets regulated to late night hours, my DVR will record it and Kipper will place them on DVD-R. Same goes for Stanley, and possibly for "GHMILY" if I find it good. Smile

March 23rd, 2012 will be a day to be remembered.

Had a lot of work to do. I'm not really that used to this kind of pressure.

Just got chewed out by my mom about my credit card again...

I don't understand this. She's not paying the cards, and It's not my fault that ponies are quite expensive because of the low value of Malaysian money...

Dad and I bought an Epson printer, and the thing is that the printer makes use of continuous inks rather than some cartridge that costs a fortune. Judging from the cost of the carts the money you spend buying three of them would be as much as getting a new AG doll. Big Grin

I thought you have a problem with Epson Tongue

Anyways...

I managed to get Dongwa's SuSE installation fixed.

The thing that was discouraging me before was that there is no OpenSUSE repair mode on the installation CD/DVD. Apparently the motto of the SuSE devs is "if it's broke, reinstall".

So I was lying down and thinking a few hours ago, and decided I had nothing to lose.

I took a Ubuntu x64 CD I had lying around (actually burned this to use on my Sis' laptop, but then as it turns out, Centrino machines can't run X64 code), said a prayer for Great Justice, and proceeded to use the disc to hack the installation back to shape Tongue

Basically, what I did here was a variant of the same repair tactic I used on BingoBeaver sometime back. Mount the hard disk, do some binding mounts, chroot, and then repair it somehow. Except this time, I used a disk of a completely different distro to fix this.

Basically, I got the x64 Ubuntu to get a network connection up before proceeding with the mounting, then I just run the zypper program to update everything (upon doing the chroot, the kernel switched ownership of the shell from Ubuntu to SuSE- so all of SuSE's libraries and commands and databases are suddenly as valid as booting the machine locally). I then rebuilt the init ramdisks (the files that were broken by what appeared to be a previously broken version of the mkinitrd command), used yast to reinstall grub, and reboot.

And Dongwa's back in business Big Grin

I do deserve a computer-related cutie mark Tongue

After about two or so years of asking for it...I finally got it!

New Super Mario Bros. Wii....

....the reason why I initially wanted a Wii in the first place. I got Elsie, but didn't have enough to buy the game along with her since the game is still $50 even three or so years after it's release!

New SMB Wii was one of my 2012 birthday gifts, along with a new hooded coat, new more comfortable winter gloves, and a Chocolate Drops Baby Ganz plush. It's a standard Ganz plush animal, but with a rattle inside. Tongue I wanted it since it's large enough that I can add it to my TV stand plush collection.
