On other news, KVM fixed. Turns out that Wade and I were right. Adapter problem. The service personnel first thought it was the KVM itself buying the farm, but then he suddenly had the urge to take a multimeter to the adapter and noticed that power was fluctuating madly on it. They plugged in a new adapter (facepalm to myself for not realizing that the dealer will always have spares- even in a country where all adapters sold at departmental stores do not have 5v output) and it was fine again.

And it turns out the KVM is still under warranty- I've only had it for 11 months, not a year as I remembered. So the replacement adapter was free. They took the old one back tho- apparently they can claim it from the supplier.

The only bad experiences I have had with AC adapters (or "wall warts" as some people call them) are those that just fail for no apparent reason. No smoke or explosion, it just stops working. I had three Famiclone game consoles (an older FC Twin, a GN Twin, and a Sega Genesis "Firecore") that came with faulty AC adapters that were either broken out of the box, or the adapter only worked for about five minutes before failing.
I love foxes, especially the one in my avatar.

Way better than the Super Creation's first adapter. Which went up in a literal bang with smoke within 5 minutes...

The second adapter was way better. It was an official Sega adapter and lasted around two years, when it fell over no apparent reason at all.

The last one I used was a no-name 9v 1.25A adapter. Last I tried it, it was still working. It was also the size of a literal brick and weigh as much as one too.

I wonder why I'm so fascinated with power bricks...

Yep, we're still alive.

Dang if Sandy's game didn't make me think of endless metaphors.

Like I have mentioned, lately I'm addicted to two video games. So chances are I'll be too 'busy' playing to come here often.

But hey, I'm still very looking forward for Bittersweet.

My sister's coming today! I'm really excited!

I'm awake at 4am, I don't know why. Probably just because it's kinda comforting for me at night, even though I'm sorta afraid of the dark. It's a strange contradiction.
It's fun to say berry! I berry talk all the day through!

Recorded about three hours of BabyFirst TV night time programming as of 12:07 AM. Will make one more pass before calling it a night.

I'm waiting for one particular song to come on the Lullabies segment- "My Grandfather's Clock". As much as I am phobic of grandfather clocks thanks to exposure to a Chinese horror movie at a young age (and the fact that I hate the element of surprise, hence I always read spoilers and walkthroughs in advance), I really [strike]like[/strike] love BFTV's instrumental version of the song and want to record it, though I kept failing to start the recording on time every time I tried. So this time I'm taping the programming in a long stretch.
