Woah, that's quite a surprise. Four years yet that forum's still alive, if not active.

In other news, I had to wipe and reload my Firefox install as there's some glitch in it. I did back up my profile, though.

So, in the end I bought a cheap (US$2) internet pack for my phone and downloaded the game with it. It lasts one week and I still have plenty of quota left. Hmm...

Move it into the USB Broadband dongle and abuse it to heck while in college? :twisted:

A good opportunity to try more Android games, given that your device has enough internal memory and is compatible?
(hint hint: Angry Birds) if you don't have it already that is

As for Jasper, he is getting along fine at the moment. Still need to get around to finding his bad RAM, but the system has been stable so far.

I also need to get some sort of internal memory card reader that I can place in the spare 3.5 drive bay, like this:
<!-- m --><a class="postlink" href="http://tinyurl.com/cx36cj7">http://tinyurl.com/cx36cj7</a><!-- m -->

Jasper does indeed have a 9-pin USB header on his motherboard, but it's only USB 1.1. Said card reader would have to be limited to USB 1.1 speeds, but it's better than nothing. His internal USB 2.0 PCI card is nearly useless. Almost any device you plug into it glitches up after only a few minutes use, or it reverts to USB 1.1 speeds. And both his USB 1.1 slots are being used for the mouse and keyboard.

The USB 2.0 PCI card is good for one thing.... USB powered gadgets, such as his Acer speaker set and charging my various MP4 players and the Sega Genesis portable.

Most people left the race, which consisted of canoeing, mountain biking, and running, before finishing it. It was days long and exhausting. James and I were the furthest checkpoint out, one of few manned checkpoints. We basically stared at our fire and talked about how bored we were. The racers usually came several hours after each other.

Wow. At first, I thought the race would be a rather simple run through the woods, like a marathon. I didn't know it involved lots of intense activities like biking and canoeing.

Hope you don't mind me asking, but what did you have for supper since you had to wait at your checkpoint for several hours? Any good campfire foods perhaps?

That sounds like triathlon, with canoeing instead of swimming. I don't think I'll be able to finish even one section. :lol:

I think I'd fail right at the start. I don't know how to use a canoe at all.

Oh, btw, in case you're wondering why tonnes of coin operated rides are showing up on my Facebook page, well, I met someone who's working on a website to catalog these rides, and I promised her help because these rides have mostly vanished from where she stays...
