The Spam Thread!
Nah, it isn't.
Kipper was part of the G3 specification along with Spot, Clifford and Caillou. It's pretty much dead.

Serious head noise issue over the past few days.

Forgot to mention: Bought Borderlands 2 on Steam yesterday. There was a sale and the game was going for US$13.59. Now, that isn't as cheap as I hope it would go, but well, I suppose it's now or never.

Than I took a look at the DLC.

Seriously. One hundred and four US Dollars for the full game? And what I bought was only the basic stuff?

This game is pure evil!

Well, the next Xbox has been revealed.... the "Xbox One".

For one, all games will have to be installed to the hard drive. The good thing about this is that you no longer need to have a game disc inserted to start the game you installed. The bad thing is that if you ever want to use it on a another Xbox One console, you will have to pay a fee to do so. Secondly, from what I am hearing, the Kinect will be required for the Xbox One.

And lastly, the Xbox One will not require an always on internet connection. Thank goodness people complained when MS was wanting the new Xbox to be online only.

Oh, almost forgot..
Xbox One will NOT be backwards compatible with Xbox 360 or Xbox games.

Personally, I'm going to keep on track for a Wii U. The Wii was amazing, and I believe the Wii U will be even more amazing. I will have to get used to the dual screen setup though.

I need a new laptop >.<

Borderlands 2 runs like molasses on it- nasty problem with the game stuttering constantly. And I'm already crossfiring two video cards on the laptop to get the best performance >.<

Or maybe it's programmed to do this on purpose- I notice how the game proudly displays the NVidia logo at the start. My laptop is using ATI cards >.<

That could very well be. If you do have to get a new laptop, try getting one with an Nvidia card this time around... although it will be very likely to use Nvidia Optimus and also have an Intel GPU too.

Isn't one of Violette's graphics cards upgradeable, that is, if it's a mini PCI-e card? I know one of her GPU's is built into the processor, but the discrete one should be upgradeable in a way.

The good news with the XB1 and the PS4 is that porting PC games to them and/or vice-versa would theoretically be easy, but the game rentals issue is quite a drag.

Thing is, I don't like Intel. Too expensive, no 3DNow support, and absolutely poor MIPS (millions-of-instructions-per-second) rating.

And afaik, neither GPU can be upgraded. Because the way multi-GPU works, you lose Crossfire or SLI if the second card is too different from the first card, or if the onchip GPU is too different from the dedicated GPU.

So you know, for better or for worse, necessity has it that I will be the only adult of the house until June 4th.

Although Plum turned 18 in late November, and we have another 18 year old girl and two 19 year old girls currently living with us as well, no one really considers them adults yet, not in the way they consider the older generations adults.

So I'll be the "only adult" of the house, although I hope you can see I will have help.

I'd go for AMD, but I'm running a Hackintosh and I'm not arsed to use a custom kernel just to make OS X work.

So I got home, and tried playing it on Edison instead.

It's only a bit more playable than on Violette. Still stretches the limit of the machine. No stuttering this time, but the frame rate frequently dips to single digits. And I have two GTS450s in SLI mode handling the graphics, a dedicated GeForce 8200 handling PhysX (notice how it says PhysX > GPU), an E-MU 20K series SPU, and an AMD Phenom2 quad core CPU. Seriously, this game requires a fricking supercomputer to play properly >.<

(But yes, all settings maxxed out. Why should I play anything less? This setup is supposed to support it!)
