Install TWRP, Google Play and SuperSU root on your LeapFrog Epic
#1
And here's the TWRP/root/Gapps tutorial you've all been waiting for:

I tried to make the video as easy to understand as I possibly can, but if you run into anything, kindly let me know. Wink

Make sure to perform a backup first though. And if you're on a regular Epic, consider converting it to the Academy ROM first before continuing.

How do I know which version I have and where do I find this Academy ROM if needed ?

I can no longer see the video, have you taken it down ?

Go to the parents menu, then tap System Info. If it says "KOT49H.user.1.1.95.20171215.140555", you're on the latest Academy Edition ROM. If not, and you're using an Academy Edition tablet, simply update it from System Updates. If you're on a regular edition tablet, you may convert it to an Academy Edition by following the instructions on this video:

As for the original video, no I still have it on YouTube, it's that the board software has a glitch that kept embedded content from loading properly. You may find it here:

I'd also like to add that if you ended up with a boot logo loop (i.e. the LeapFrog logo itself, not the animated loading screen), try flashing the Academy Edition ROM first:

...then flash the TWRP image afterwards. This is to work around the image signature enforcement issue some users are apparently getting whenever they try to use the custom recovery.
