So, uh, what do you guys think that should be in the next SSC game, if it will be ever developed? As for my case I think it should be a sandbox-styled, non-linear sort of game, and something that isn't too boring or repetitive for older players.

In other words, similar to GTA but peaceful like Harvest Moon. I can see what you mean, though every time I imagine playing it I felt that it would get boring pretty fast. There should be some kind of 'ultimate goal' to keep it motivating for players to keep playing.
Anyway, no matter how hard I think, making the game similar to Harvest Moon seems to be the only suitable way, while none of my Harvest Moon ever see completion because I got bored of the routine by mid-game.

Maybe the best would be an RPG, in which you have a main character, for example Blackberry Bun, and you'd have quests like helping Strawberry's preparations to a party, convincing Peppermint Fizz to apologize to Rainbow Sherbet, etc.. Well OK, there would be bigger quests as well, like spying on Purple Pie Man, fixing broken machines, growing plants... And the player should have much freedom in deciding which quests in which order he's going to handle. Deus Ex serves as a good example here, maybe some characteristics could be brought from there.

That kinda reminds me of Borderlands, without the violence of course.

Anyway, does anyone have the PC version of The Sweet Dreams Game? Theoretically it exists but I can't seem to find it anywhere. I'm just pretty curious about it.

'Tis vaporware as of now. Would like to have a copy of it but I'm afraid there hasn't been any new news about a PC SSC game.

So far only the PS2 version was available both on legit and for those who feel like appropriating an ISO.

One idea I actually dreamed of was a kid friendly strawberry shortcake rpg in a similar vein to persona and costume quest but with a bit of mitopia in it. The basic story is: the people of strawberryland are completely losing joy and sand man realizes there are eldredge nightmares inhibiting the peoples dreams and taking all joy from them. Sand man soon realizes strawberry shortcake and her freinds are actually immune to these beasts entering there dreams so he enlists there help. In order to fend off these beasts he gives them access to dream costumes, these are basically your classes. The beginning classes include: popstar, ballerina, fairy, kinght, cheif, artist, nurse, adventurer. Then as those level up advanced classes: things like princess, fairy princess, wizard, ninja, prima ballerina, fire fighter, doctor, paladin. Ext. and lastly every individual party member gains a specific class just for them. For example: strawberry shortcake becomes the queen class, huckleberry becomes the shinobi class, gingersnap is the cyborg gadgeter class (she essentially becomes iorn man) orqnge blossom becomes fairy queen, exct.
The main characters in your party are: strawberry shortcake, gingersnap, Huckleberry Pie, Orange Blossom, peppermint fizz, blueberry muffin, lemon meringue and razzberry torte. The rest of Strawberries freinds while not playable do play important roles, such as creepe suzette is in charge of making and powering up costumes with accessories.
There is a ton to this games idea. I could go on forever
