The Spam Thread!
Mind if you post the link to that petition so that I can make an announcement here?

Here is one such petition from Fight for the Future. I believe there is another one by the EFF as well.

However...

I certainly hope I don't sound like a total idiot, but even if CISPA does pass, I'm not entirely sure if it would affect me personally, for the most part. I'm not sure that the government would actually force Facebook or YouTube to constantly spy on my activities. Government agencies can only request the data, and the companies can choose not to comply.

The kicker? If CISPA passes, the president will veto it like he says. Only way around that is if both sides have enough votes to override his veto, and I doubt that will happen on both sides.

One thing is for sure though.... if the companies do agree to hand over sensitive information to the government for a supposed threat, it would trump the 4th amendment. No warrant necessary. That is a little disconcerting. So far, my only gray area online is my YouTube Poop videos, which are protected under fair use clause, hence my lack of concern outside of my 4th amendment rights.
I love foxes, especially the one in my avatar.

trumping the fourth amendment... Just like how the idiot information minister upped internet censorship trumps the Bill of Guarantees that states that the internet shall never be censored...

This is the first time I've seen a form of that joke and found it funny.

I'm sure the others were also cases of having to know the references to understand, although the first one I saw was something I did know the reference to, if you could call it that, and it made no sense. ("Gee, Autism! How come your mom lets you have two carrots?" "Because you're stupid and I'm not." Either that was someone's personal inside joke based on someone they knew, or they were trying too hard to be funny and failed.)

i don't understand... Why do you need to add sugar to turnips? I eat them raw and they're already sweet as is.

I forgot:

Was it just me or do we need to move to another domain provider? I'm getting DNS errors on occasion. Same case with Googlebot trying to index this site.

Well, sometimes if I try to load the site with Greta, I can't connect at all no matter what browser I use...

That is until I use CMD to ping this site, then I can finally connect.

As for Lilly, she can get here just fine.

Is that the same problem I still experience even now? I mean, the browser would act as if the site doesn't exist, and usually pressing F5 once would make it load fine.
