Forget the 360. Just get a PS3.

Because unless Microsoft changes their mind and allows Malaysians onto XBox Live, I'm shafted.

This is why I haven't been using Berlioz much.
Nah. No Tetris Evolution for the PS3.

And, the PS3 has no backward compatibility with PS2 games anymore. I would rather play my own PS2 collection on Lars than download PS2 games from the PS Store that run on emulation.

I also don't see any reason for me to get a PS3. There are no games that I really want for it.
Get Microsoft to allow Malaysians to use XBox Live then.

I know I will have to make an Xbox Live account when I do get my Xbox 360, but I won't utilize it to it's full extent. I will use it for Xbox Live Arcade purchases, but I won't engage in online gaming. Im planning on staying away from the FPS titles and stick with the casual games.

As for getting MS to allow Xbox Live in Malaysia...Im not sure how I can do that. Regardless, Im still getting an Xbox 360 this coming summer.
Write in and complain on my behalf Tongue

Well, Arcade purchases, no go. IP Geoblocked Sad
Well, she is already mostly set up, but Im trying to find a good spot to place the TV antenna. I have two sets of rabbit ears...a simple no-frills rabbit ear antenna, and an amplified set that is powered by a 9v AC adapter.

Even though I live on the fourth floor of my dorm, I can't get the CBS and ABC stations to come in. The only other stations I can get are South Dakota Public Broadcasting and the NBC station. The regular antenna pulls those two in fine, but the signal could be better.

I then tried the amplified antenna, which I originally thought was worthless because it didn't help bring in the CBS and ABC stations. With that antenna though, signal strength has increased! Maybe it does work after all. I just get bad reception of CBS and ABC.

I am going to try to move the antenna around a bit more to see if the other channels will eventually come in, but if not, I will just settle with the two I do get.
Speaking of which, I bought a second pair of amplified rabbit ears yesterday. However, apparently Quetzal III liked the old rabbit ears better, which is okay by me. The new ones are going to Quetzal II. With the new pair, digital kept dropping out and analog wasn't coming in as clearly. It may have something to do with how I place the antenna, but ah!
Is there a way to reinstall OS (Win 7 64bit) without losing data? Somehow my brother's laptop cannot start Windows and instead goes to recovery page. I brought it this morning to the shop where my father had bought the laptop, and they said it most likely need reinstall. They are still not sure, though, because their technician was absent today.

Anyway, I told them that I don't want to lose the data and urged them to do whatever they can to save everything possible. If they're going to do something with risk of losing data, they must call me first before doing it so I can come over immediately to get explained about the condition.

I wouldn't be this concerned if my bro saved all his data in D partition, but he saved everything in C partition.

Any opinions please?

Well, I'd say he's probably done for, sadly. Sounds like what happened to my sister's laptop last month- a virus got in and totally destroyed the C Partition to the point where it cannot be recovered. I'd say she's lucky because she took my advice and saved all her work into a USB hard disk (her laptop's hard disk is so small it can only have one partition).

And sadly, she didn't learn. She disabled all the protection I put on her laptop and went back to her irresponsible e-mail opening again Sad

My advice? Download SystemRescueCD: <!-- m --><a class="postlink" href="http://www.sysresccd.org/Main_Page">http://www.sysresccd.org/Main_Page</a><!-- m --> .

Then burn the CD and restart your brother's laptop from it.

Then follow these instructions: <!-- m --><a class="postlink" href="http://www.sysresccd.org/Sysresccd-manual-en_Backup_data_from_an_unbootable_windows_computer">http://www.sysresccd.org/Sysresccd-manu ... s_computer</a><!-- m -->

If it says that the partition is not recognized, run Testdisk and see if it can repair the partition. I cannot help you from here because I've never really used it before. If it still doesn't work, then sorry, the partition is destroyed Sad

I could have run Testdisk on her computer, but since it took so long and she said she has all her stuff backed up on USB hard disk, I wrote it off as data gone.
Alright, I'll try it if the shop is unable to do anything. Thanks.
