I really don't know what to think about that sort of stuff, and I really don't want to know. I totally agree with your right to believe in it and all that and I don't wanna make this a big thing. My mother is right along with you, she posts very similar things all over a special Facebook she has. Obviously some intelligent and thoughtful people are interested and invested in this kind of stuff.

Personally, I just honestly don't have the suspicion, or the time, or the want to be concerned about it. I just live obeying the law as a good citizen, and tend to believe that a innocent person has nothing to hide. In my mothers case, I get frustrated in the fact that she'll trust things that are presented as anti-government blindly, but then also anytime there is anything positive about the government to say she's supsicous, supscious, supscious. It's just an immediate assumption of the worst. I think it's totally unhealthy and very showing to blindly believe and accept anything negative without proof but then reject all the positive. There is nothing more immediately credible about something just because it's bad.
Frustrated.

I wish I have friends who're playing Borderlands 2 online so I can get some help >.<

I understand where you are coming from, Angel, and I don't agree with everything that RT publishes. Here is the thing.... the mainstream news outlets have now picked up on this story with the government admitting that it has done this, so there is proof. This isn't some unproven conspiracy like some of RT's other opinions. I can find out which news items are factual, and which ones are questionable, so I pick and choose my sources and news to form my own independent POV. I have friends on Facebook who do believe in conspiracy theories, and I tend to ignore those because in every other way we are good friends and we share the same interests. We shouldn't let politics get in the way of a friendship, even though we disagree at times.

I try not to think about these things as well, and tend to stay positive and live life the way I want to. But, if there is a pressing issue about our personal privacy on the internet that affects all of us (even if some of us don't know it), then I feel the need to speak up. We have done this before, with the most memorable incident being the SOPA/PIPA protests last January. You probably already know this, but SOPA/PIPA was a very bad internet censorship bill that would have affected the entire internet, and we were all against it. The people spoke up, and the bill was tabled. We face a similar threat with CISPA, an internet spying bill. I was somewhat skeptical of the backlash of CISPA as I felt some of it's issues were overblown and misread. I'm not saying I support CISPA... it could still have been used for bad purposes.

I apologize for linking to a somewhat depressing story... I didn't mean to make you feel bad. Sad

You didn't, don't worry. You didn't do anything wrong and yeah, even the mainstream news media has picked up this story. I noticed that. I totally support causing awareness to get involved in politics and speak out when there is something that you personally very much disagree with. I think it's wonderful that people do in fact, want to inform, educate, and make the unaware aware of things going on around them.

There isn't anything wrong with you posting things like that. Do not let me censor you, and I'm telling you right now I don't want you to. No personal disagreement will make me respect you any less, or want to be your friend any less. I want you to be able to say whatever is on your mind and share these things if they are bothering you. You don't seem anything like how my mother has become, so I hope you didn't include yourself in that rant I made about her. She will blindly believe any unsourced negative opinion, you obviously don't. That's my only problem. She won't even TALK TO ME right now because sharing those opinions is so important to her. She literally won't message me over Facebook which is the only way we stayed consistently in contact because she is worried that the government is spying on her for sharing the things she has and doesn't want to get me "entangled".. to which I ask.. then why share it? Is it so worth it? Is this really how you want to spend your life?

You didn't make me depressed. Believe me, we haven't' gotten to know each other very well yet but it takes a lot more then that to bring me down. ^_^

If anything, I'm sorry for making a big deal about it and dumping my frustrations about my mother on you all. I just trust that all of you are awesome, thoughtful people, and that this is a safe place to do so if I need to. Smile
Wait, turning off hardware PhysX support allows my two GTS450s to perform well? This is uncalled for...
I got Animal Crossing: New Leaf and Berrywood Here We Come today.

Good day.

I got AC:NL at midnight from Walmart thanks to Alexia being super awesome.

Except there isn't anything to do at midnight on your first day in Animal Crossing..

Oh well. Big Grin *listens to the pretty music and waits for things to happen*

PhysX made games like Mafia II look meatier, but the problem is that it's proprietary - as in way too proprietary that Nvidia would bar everyone else who's not running their cards from accessing it. 'Sides, it's theoretically possible to throw in similar effects without relying so much on vendor-specific frameworks.

Animal Crossing you say?

Have Animal Crossing: City Folk for the Wii? I do... and it's great fun!

I have learned a great deal on how Animal Crossing works, but I still get surprised at times. I really need to post a tour of my own AC:CF town here. It has come a long way.
I've pretty much given up on Animal Crossing: City Folk again. However, I need to get a 3DS and New Leaf...

Finally, acquired my retro gaming TV. Got it at a rummage sale for only $3. Only needed some external cleaning due to being in a storage unit for who knows how long. It is also missing the remote, but Anna-Lena's remote can control this TV due to being the same brand. I added the funny animal stickers. Tongue So far, the TV works great. I still plan on using Anna-Lena for general TV and DVD movies, and for games newer than PlayStation 2. This CRT is being reserved for the classic retro gaming systems.

For those who don't know, retro video game systems like the SNES or Genesis work best on old CRT sets due to no input lag and the ability to support the game's native resolution.

You can play said games on your modern flat panel TV, but there is possible input lag and the TV upscaling the graphics from 240p to the LCD's native resolution, making the graphics appear blocky and ugly.

Well, I tried to send you an invite a couple weeks ago, but I forgot how to do so again. I need to read the AC:CF manual. I need to get this done before the end of the month as Nintendo is shutting down some online services, and I don't know if AC:CF will be affected by this. I still have your town and code in my PM box and I did add you as a contact.
