Shows with villains usually has a tradition where the protagonists, sometimes shamefully, lose first before winning in the end of the episode. Perhaps for David the moments of the protagonists losing is not enjoyable and traumatic? I myself particularly not too fond of Queen for A Day for this reason.

Well, to each his own, even if you don't understand why someone doesn't like something. Smile

Traumatic is correct. I was easily frightened in the past. Plus, in reality, I've been through some pretty disparaging things that convinces me that Good Always Wins is unrealistic.

As I said before, i only enjoy SliceOfLife programming. I was actually treating FIM as a substitute to Humf, whom I believe I've completely lost along with Spot. Looks like it's not to be.
Ah yes, I forgot your second point.

In other news, I've just improved the quality of my avy. If Photoshop fails, use PRINTSCREEN!
While I was taking a nap earlier today, I dreamt that I was taking a bullet train from KL to Jakarta. There's three things illogical about it:
1. Malaysia and Indonesia is separated by a sea
2. There is no bullet train service in Malaysia, and two and a half hours seems like an awfully short time to traverse 732.58 miles by land, assuming they build maddeningly long bridges. This implies that the train was going at 293MPH.
and according to Wikipedia, no existing high speed rail trains can even reach that speed.
3: Jakarta appears to be a small town set in a very cool, hilly place like Cameron Highlands, or Scotland. Which is definitely not true.

Although it is possible to build bridges connecting Singapore to Sumatra via the large clusters of islands sitting nearby to each other that sits between Singapore and Sumatra, and then Sumatra to Jawa with a bridge through Sangiang Island, the idea obviously won't work due to political and environmental reasons.

Well, that is true. Good never prevails over the evil every single time. Good winning over evil does happen, but there are bound to be many losses. Anyway, I guess I'll continue to enjoy SliceOfLife shows (Max and Ruby, My Friend Rabbit), shows with villains (Disney movies, many other animated shows too numerous to list) and more. Smile Each to his own.
Discord does not look threatening. From this image, he seems downright silly. Then again, I think almost every villain in every show co-produced by Lauren Faust is silly.

I like certain types of villains, especially anti-villains. I like to dislike other types of villains. Quirky characters are more likely to be villains, so I tend to identify with them often enough.

The best kind of villains are rare, and are actually heroes that figure out they have heroic qualities as the series and/or film(s) continue. It is a very human journey which they are sorting out. These villains are everyone who has spent their lives thinking of themselves as something worse than they are, everyone who gets depressed, everyone used to a life of failure, and everyone who is only odder than most.

One reason I think some villains are great is because their adventures are longer and deeper versions of these situations, if you look at these characters' entire connected story from their views. Maybe I am just weird for finding that therapeutic instead of traumatic. In my opinion, though, when anyone whom you like loses at first before winning, that is a comfort for two reasons. The first reason is that you feel less alone in your own failures. The second is that there is hope of success, because the characters eventually pull through no matter what they are faced with and no matter how long their challenges last.

Explain "Him". Giant Shapeshifting Satan Lobsters does not go well with me. Heck, shapeshifting villains of any type does not go well with me. I'm okay with Mojo Jojo, I'm okay with The Princess, I'm okay with The Rowdyrough Boys, but I draw the line at "Him".
Someday, love will find you
Break those chains that bind you
One night will remind you
How we touched and went our separate ways

If he ever hurts you
True love won't desert you
You know I still love you
Though we touched and went our separate ways.

The word "discord" can be synonymous with "chaos", which doesn't have to be good or bad. There is possibility of reform.

Giant Shapeshifting Satan Lobsters look silly to me. I didn't see much of The Powerpuff Girls and didn't know he shapeshifted. Still, the animation is silly and he can never win because he is a rejection of all things positive. That aside, I can see why you hate "Him".

The overall story to the character makes "Him" nothing like the type of villains I like, and I said almost every Lauren Faust villain is silly. The type of villains I like have personalities fitting for very interesting and funny friends, when not trying to ruin things. Some of these people may think they are rejections of all things positive. They are mistaken, and/or being controlled by a greater evil that they must destroy.

For what it's worth, I associate Faust and her husband with Foster's Home For Imaginary Friends. It was simply a better show than The Powerpuff Girls. Foster's was more humorous and the plots were different every time. Powerpuff Girls was too repetitive, with the same plot outline and the same announcements in each episode. Powerpuff Girls was also too violent. Now that I think about it, I'm glad it isn't on the air because I don't think I'd let my own little girls watch it. The Powerpuffs spent every episode beating their opponents to pulps. At times, they would beat up their opponents just because they physically could.

Saaaandy! You didn't answer my question. Does Albatross' human form forever remain a young boy, or can he morph into an adult as well?
Well, the day has come to retire Jasper. He still runs decently, but his age is quickly catching up. Many websites are becoming slow due to their heavy reliance on Flash and other fancy stuff. The only useable web browser is Opera, and even though it's fast on most sites, the complex Flash-heavy sites still tend to slow Jasper down to a crawl.

Another reason why Jasper is being retired is that in a couple weeks, I am going to use part of my student loan to buy a Mac Mini directly from Apple. One of my future classes in my Digital Storytelling program is video editing, and I believe we will either use Adobe Premiere or Final Cut Pro. The Mac Mini will also help me get comfortable with the Mac OS-X system once and for all. A faster internet experience is a plus, and it will be nice to have both a desktop and laptop computer that have the power to browse today's websites. One Windows and one Mac. Who could ask for more? Tongue (well, I still have to buy the student discounted Adobe Suite)

Oh, and the wireless internet at the dorms is slooooow. It can't be Wendell since the wireless internet at other campus buildings is pretty fast. All the other guys here must be busy with classwork, or if not that, probably online gaming or music/movie streaming. Wireless speed is faster on the weekends.

Grapes, what software would you recommend me to use on a Mac, such as for web browsing, video or music playback?
