New watch time. Wanted one with a blue band, and this is the one I found. A little more whimsical than usual though. Tongue
Yay tomorrow is the first day of the Christmas paycheck, but the last day today is of the previous one! The previous one was light and we've been scraping, but tomorrow everything will be better. Plus a wonderful friend all the way in Australia apparently bought me dolls and posters, and he's shipping them. They'll come late for the Holidays but.. still! Excitement!

Though we'll be buying my sister something fun too, she has not only Christmas but her birthday is the day after and we always try to make sure it's a big deal still.

This paycheck might be pretty light too... thinking about it. ^^;

(Also don't worry, light means eating less amazing food. We're just fine.)

Awesome watch! I love it! Big Grin
Just great. Headache from lack of sleep...

It's always fun to receive late Christmas gifts. It just makes the wonderful holiday last just a bit longer. Smile

Thanks! I'm starting to love it too. Smile It will compliment my red Timex Easy Reader watch well. When the Timex red strap wears out, I also plan on replacing that strap with a blue/cyan one too. I'm starting to like Blue/Cyan colors lately. I actually got a little cellular phone carrier for my digital camera because of it's Cyan color. My camera fits perfectly inside it.

I hope your day gets better. Sad

Yeah, I'm really excited! I wonder what sort of doll it is.. <3

Blue is an awesome color. If everything in my house wasn't pink or yellow, I would love a soft blue vibe to things too. Very calming. All types of blue's carry that feeling.

Is this legit? My brother's computer is infected with this, but the necessity to install some other software to remove the infection makes me hesitate.
I agree with Blake on this. Boot into safe mode and run ComboFix (ComboFix is most effective in safe mode since the malware will be dormant as Windows won't start it. You don't have to install it, just reboot into safe mode and double click on the program to run it), then run a MalwareBytes scan once Combofix is complete before restarting Windows back to normal mode. That should be enough to remove the malware.

Vouching on this. I've been using Combofix for years, and while it did screw up at times such occurrences are rare, and in most cases it'll snuff out a stubborn infection.

If you want to you can post a Hijackthis and Combofix log after running the removal tools here.

Day almost over. Head still pounding slightly. I'll be heading straight home and hitting the sack early to compensate for the lack of sleep.

How did it come to this? Well, I had another asthma attack at 1:30 AM. My inhaler was empty (stupid of me to not buy a replacement can the day before!) and I decided to hold on until morning and then buy a replacement can from a pharmacy instead of heading for the emergency room of the hospital. Turns out to be a bad idea...

Ah, yes, the logs. Sandy, can you post the HijackThis log from your brother's PC after running ComboFix and Malwarebytes? That way Blake and I can help check to see if the malware has been completely removed, and make sure that there's no other malware on it.

Well, that's a drag. It would've been a lot more prudent if you have a reserve can ready, but those things can be expensive, yes?

And besides that, a quick scan with your antivirus software would also be advisable especially if you really want to make sure that things are clean.
For now it seems I've managed to fix it, but right now I'm pretty busy with some project so for the HijackThis log I'll get to it later. Thanks.

Not really, they're like 10 Malaysian dollars a can. I was just too lazy to visit the pharmacy after work...
