I can't stand Power Rangers.

Some more things...

Pat is also starting college. I feel like I should mention her because she's family. She lives in a different state. She could have graduated by now. Oh well, I can't be a hypocrite. I restarted college much later than her. I went again for a second degree because I wanted a teaching degree. Pat is trying to finish her first degree. She says she wants to major in comedy in the performing arts. That sounds like our family.

Megan is a junior in high school here. She's joining the Marine Corps JROTC.

All right, I'd be writing forever if I explained school for all of my younger relatives and for people I know.

I'm giving harp lessons on Wednesday evenings, from my house. My ultrasound that will probably show gender(s) is scheduled for a Wednesday, so the harp lessons will be on Monday that week. I'm talking about the last week of September, by the way.

We don't have anything scheduled for the holidays yet. Give us a month or two, and that will change.

Edit:
I don't like that this starts a new page, because it's the second part of the last post I made.
... Ponyville?

What game is that? I can only stand in awe of technologically competent people.

By the way, something I've been forgetting to ask you for years, who or what is Stanman?

It's not really a game. It's a sandbox utility called "Garry's Mod" which is best described as a digital oversized doll posing toy with some violence thrown in. It allows you to use characters and maps from various games that uses the Valve Source game engine and pose them like dolls in an environment of your choice, and of course, you can bring in third party characters and maps you can find online, or even self-made ones if you have the time to make them. You can even make them come to life and move if you're up for tons of programming.

It's normally used to create those silly Portal, Half-Life and Team Fortress 2 short movies you see on Youtube.

What happened was, someone made a Ponyville map for Team Fortress 2 (PG-Rated if run with sillygibs and you control which server they connect to, but M-Rated otherwise), and another person actually made pony models for this use. I was just messing with the thoughts of putting them together.

Long story short, some prick who ruined my life at a Hamtaro forum. I'll explain the details if I see you on MSN if you want to hear it.
Well, with no offense to you, what he said likely wasn't serious. Lots of people make those kind of jokes. His claim or joke would be impossible for anyone to follow through with, even if he was being serious. I don't see how someone saying that type of thing could affect your life, much less ruin your life.

I am sorry such a mess came over you.
Well, Gmod's more or less a game, but since it's a sandbox the goal's all up to you, whether you make silly TF2 movies or just mess with contraptions. I suggest that you give that thing a shot, Prudie - even if you suck at games in general Garry's Mod's worth the ten bucks.

I don't care for Power Rangers. Tongue I do know the show exists, but a live action kids show featuring five heroes battling guys in monster costumes destroying a small city on a soundstage never piqued my interests. However, I do have a Sega Genesis game based on a similar show called "VR Troopers", and it's the only one-on-one fighting game I am good at since the special moves are so easy to learn.

Grapes, what kind of TVs do you have at home? Ultra-modern flat panel LCD High Definition kind or the regular bulky Standard Definition kind? I have 99% Standard Definition content on various media (mainly DVD and VHS), and standard definition content to me doesn't look too good on a flat panel TV set. Thus, I think the modern flat panel TVs are perfect for HD content, but not too good for SD stuff.

That is why you see me hanging on to the older style TV sets. Old Super Nintendo and Genesis video games look much better on those sets.

It's not that, it's the forum's reaction when I protested.

It's like the world, and thus the gods, prefers Bijou to be with him and not with me.

As for the TV preference, I'm avoiding CRTs. Not only is Samara not able to crawl out of LCDs, the fact that CRTs emit gamma ray (or is it X-Ray?) beams isn't healthy. Plus, CRTs flicker (which is especially noticeable when the TV is in NTSC mode instead of the usual PAL mode), which gives me a headache, and most have an underscan problem, and I hate it when a picture is underscanned.

Samara can't crawl out of any TV set since she is a fictional movie character. Tongue And the amount of X-Rays that a TV emits from the front glass is very much below the legal limit of XRay exposure, thus, CRTs don't harm anyone from XRay exposure.

I can never see any flicker when I see a CRT set, and my current RCA set actually overscans a bit toward the top, as on a scant few channels, you can see the VBI (namely the classic cartoon channel Boomerang). This overscan may have been an adjustment oversight at the factory since said TV set was well cared for and it was like that when I purchased it. The old console TV set underscans quite a bit towards the right side of the screen.

Thing is, on a LCD TV, the adjustment is automatic and underscans should/could not to happen.

As for the flickering, maybe the original Quetzal is already biting the bullet then, but then I get flickering whenever I try to pass a hybrid 60Hz video source (i.e. PAL-60 from the BIT-70 or NTSC-4.43 from my first PSOne) to Quetzal. On Quetzal II the worst that happens is that the picture becomes slightly blurer than normal non-HD images.
