Stella Grapes Wrote::lol: Ha ha, I don't mind the guy, personally. I gave serious thought to going to Italy for a concert of his for one of my daughters' birthdays years ago, though admittedly that idea was in large part from wanting to be popular with her generational subset. It was too expensive an idea.

Anyway, even I think your joke was funny. Although I don't see the harm in a prepaid card for kids. That card in particular, no, that looks too silly. Too many fees for my taste. The concept of prepaid debit cards is fine, however. While it isn't going to give them large savings or a credit reputation, it can give kids some extra savings in the long run and help them feel more "adult". A certain level of that is good for self-esteem. I don't think children buying things with non-cash is necessarily a bad thing for them. Cash or card, it's still James' money, frankly speaking, and mine as well when I make some extra.

You do bring up good points about getting the right kind of prepaid card. Prepaid cards can also help kids learn how to budget their money as well.

As for my joke, thanks much for appreciating it. Smile Though in retrospect, calling Justin Beiber's music horrible may have been too strong of a word. To me, his music sounds a lot like every other currently popular artist or band today. But I do know that the younger generation loves his music.
Well, idk. My opinion on Justin Beiber is that his music poisons the mind of young girls, although that's because I find the message in "Eenie Meenie" revolting- telling girls to be impulsive. Also, "One Less Lonely Girl" was played over the PA system in a shopping mall once while I was in the toilet and it made me constipated immediately and I felt that the song was mocking me- then again I feel that every love song about a guy successfully finding his girl mocks me. And oh, the existing Malaysian government sponsored his concert while banning Erykah Badu instead. Never going to let that incident go...

Long story short, a couple Wii online channels will be disabled on June 28th. Sad

Out of all the channels I use, I use the News Channel most. I like how the news there is presented. All articles are coming from the AP direct with no ads or anything.

The Wii U hasn't been out for even a year, and they are already starting to part ways with the previous Wii?

As it stands, the Wii Shop Channel isn't shutting down on June 28th. You can still buy new games and re-download games you purchased. But problem is... how long will it be until Nintendo starts cutting off the Wii Shop Channel? What if you can't re-download your purchased games?

By the time those five services shut down, Elsie will almost be two years old. Sad I was late getting a Wii, but come on... support older consoles for a few more years Nintendo!!

If there is another announcement that the Wii Shop Channel is closing down, I have no choice but to get the Wii U... and a separate GameCube.
So, why not continue using the Wii for GameCube games while using the Wii U for Wii games?

For me tho, I've had my Wii for a good 4 years now. It stopped being usable for fast paced games like Super Smash Bros Brawl after I switched to Quetzal III (which ironically doesn't have lag issues with the HDMI input, only with component that Bonnet and Harriet uses). I was already contemplating a Wii U the moment I found out that it does HDMI since that means no lag.

I guess this gives me one extra reason to get a Wii U,

That is a good idea, but Elsie would be very sad looking if I have to move all my DLC to the new Wii U. From what I am reading on the Nintendo forums, your Wii Shop account can only be linked to one system, and that means I can't sync my VC titles and WiiWare between both consoles, like how you can sync your Google Play apps across multiple devices.

I guess Elsie will just become a GC only system once I get a Wii U.

I may as well begin planning for one very soon, because who knows how soon Nintendo will kill off the WIi Shop Channel? It may not happen on June 28th, but it's going to happen. It's a matter of just when.

Why do companies have to resort to planned obsolescence? Look at the PS2. Sony only ceased manufacturing new PS2 systems earlier this year, and kept the PS2 alive even as the PS3 slowly rose to significance.

Nintendo could have kept the Wii alive as a secondary budget system while maintaining it's online capabilities, like Sony did with the PS2. IMO, Nintendo placing the Wii on life support this soon is a very bad move. Not everyone is ready to upgrade to the Wii U. They are beginning to think just like Apple.... bring a new product on the market like the Wii U and kill off the previous version just to force their customers to upgrade to the new system.

I do feel like bashing him too much, but I can't dismiss the fact that he got caught up in the fast lane and failed to make a favourable public image of himself. No wonder jaded netizens are quick to piss at him.
Exam is finally over, and I got the next two days off. Can breathe easier again at last.
So you're adding Chrysalis to the iOS game? Sorry Hasbro /* deletes game from both iPads */

Did the exam go over well Sandy?

There's a difference between impulsive and indecisive, and the girl in the song was indecisive and couldn't choose between people.

All right, I didn't get further than that without laughing. No offense.

I definitely think Bieber makes mistakes, more so now than before. Some of his mistakes are very, very silly, like illegally tattooing an ugly mouse saying "Swaggy" on some man's arm. That's hilariously stupid. He ain't a bad person, though. I hate how fame blows people out of proportion. Everyone messes up. I know I certainly do.

Have to admit, his mistakes these days are reminding me of my brother ... Oh dear ...
