Well, the install went without a hitch, and I was able to get most of the necessary drivers installed, except for two.

The first one is the sound. By default, there should be a custom "Smart Audio HD" driver, but Toshiba hasn't made a Win8 version available for download yet, and the Win7 driver wouldn't install. For now, I am stuck with the basic Windows HDA driver.

The second one is the touchpad. I don't know what happened, but either Windows or the Toshiba system driver packages installed a Synaptics driver, despite Wendell having an "ELANTech" touchpad. The cursor moves, but I cannot scroll on the right side anymore. I uninstalled the mismatched driver, and the touchpad still works, and still no scrolling. And I doubt the Win7 driver will install since Toshiba makes the packages detect what OS is running, and thus will not even launch the installer program under Win8, even when compatibility mode under Win7!

But now begins my quest to learn Win8, and whether or not I will eventually upgrade to it. I miss Aero Glass somewhat already.

Wade, the company is not Autism Speaks. I stay away from them. It is on good terms with Autism Speaks, however. At first, I thought this was ironic, because the last I heard, Autism Speaks didn't believe in present recovery. Turns out they do now.

Good question. If only that .WFT support was added to OpenIV/GIMS so that I can make IV vehicles in Max, I could do a Gerry the Giraffe scooter for you. After all, I'm more used to 3DS Max than Zmodeler or any other modeling suites.

Well, I'm thinking of a game mod that allows you to press "F" near it and you lose one dollar, but Niko gets on and acts like a fool for a minute. Would be fun to watch XD

That could be done. You might as well try writing scripts using the .NET scripthook - just C# and some libraries for interfacing with GTA4.

Hmmm, interesting. May look into it sometime given I do have the necessary tools (Visual Studio 2008 Professional) on my rigs because I used to do development work...

Library seems to call for VS2010, though.

Some store brand soda can be quite tasty...as shown here.

ShurFine is sort of a store brand, but it's not limited to one single store. ShurFine products are distributed to many small-town grocery stores in the midwest, mainly those who are lined up with "Affiliated Foods Midwest". ShurFine has been in my area for as long as I can remember, and their products are in line with WalMart's "Great Value" brand. Most of it is good, but once in awhile, you will come across a ShurFine product that is not as good as the national brand.

ShurFine reintroduced their line of soda pop last summer with a big "Makin' a Splash" campaign. They have the usual generic soda flavors (Cola, Root Beer, Mountain Dew clone, etc) but they also have flavors like these...along with Black Cherry and Grape.

Their worst soda is "Dr. Wow". It's supposed to be a clone of Dr.Pepper, but it has such a horrible taste.

lol I don't identify with Ginger Snap's character and I do identify with all her songs.

lol the SSC kid who best fits my appearance and personality, Cherry Jam, didn't come until the version I like the least. lol white people with epicanthic eye folds exist. lol I am not teasing myself.
